The above stories are fascinating and what I have learned is that if there is a net, then the person will not actively seek out another location from which to take his or her life at. Through the hard work of the man who jumped off the Golden Gate bridge and survived, California will have a net on their "suicide" bridge very soon. Despite efforts by one mother to put a net on the Patullo Bridge, both cities, New Westminister and Surrey indicated that it is too old of a bridge to work with. Sadly, hundreds of young people have taken their lives on our local bridges.  One of my daughters just noticed that the new Port Mann has a very low railing, and sadly it will be open to pedestrians. Now that all the lanes are open, the city will continue to do everything in it's power to not disclose to the public, the tragic deaths that many will experience and only report it as a "police incidence".

These are just a few of the many many jumps that people have done in order to end their lives. I don't know of a female who survived a jump, however, we know that many jumps are successful in the sense that it brings about the end to the suffering of the person. Which then initiates the suffering of those who are left behind.

Since Deborah's death, we had a "trolling" experience. The telephone caller kept their identity from us, but it was disturbing nevertheless. The message had to do with her jumping off the bridge. A person took such a painstaking effort to inflict even more pain on us. Very low indeed.
