Encouraging Letters

Excerpts from two letters.
"As far as I know, long-standing depression can be managed, not cured, and life can still be good over all, although it is difficult.

There are many ways that we suffer in this life, and God is the only One who can truly "get it."  Losing a child like you have...I can't think of anything worse.  It's just unthinkable, and I don't know how you keep going.

1 Cor. 13 We will see him face to face...we will be fully understood...when Jesus returns.  Oh, I do long for that day!!  Meanwhile, we remain here..."His path is through the sea" "

God moves in a mysterious way
His wonders to perform
He plants His footsteps in the sea
And rides upon the storm.

His purposes shall ripen fast
Unfolding every hour
The bud may have a bitter taste
But sweet will be the flower.

Blind unbelief is sure to err
And scan His work in vain
God is His own interpreter
And He will make it plain

- A hymn written by William Cowper when he felt suicidal
John Newton was William Cowper's good friend--maybe his only friend.

"We are praying for you and your family in this hour of grief, it is the Lord who alone can comfort us. Many times He allows pain in our life to teach us, thank God there is an eternity. We have hope. It is a privilege to know Him as our Father who is our Creator. Let us move on, all these circumstances are designed to bring us closer to Him. The potter is at work, He does not have to explain everything to the clay, but needs the freedom to do anything He wants with the clay. Our prayers that comes from our lips is, May your will be done not ours.
Our Lord is coming soon, let us march on. The rarest gems undergo the hardest grinding."

Thank you friends for encouraging us. This was a difficult day for me, making a presentation in our suicide survivor's group.
