It wasn’t until December 2020 that Jessica Joan of Los Angeles, California, revealed her identity to the world, providing a face and a name to the "Jane Doe 2" listed in NXIVM leader Keith Raniere’s arrest warrant.
Raniere was arrested in 2018 and later convicted on racketeering and sex trafficking conspiracy charges. He’s now six months into his 120-year prison sentence. His organization had been advertised to new members as a "self-help group," but testimony from female members of its secret society, known as "DOS" or "The Vow," revealed in court that its objective was actually to lure in women through strategic manipulation. Some ended up being branded with his initials burned into their flesh.
Joan, in an interview with Fox News this week, confirms she successfully escaped DOS before being introduced to the society’s branding ritual. She got out, but scars still remain.
"Oh, it was basically my worst nightmare come to life," Joan, a model and actress in Los Angeles, recalls of the day she learned NXIVM was not what it was advertised to be. It was a "special assignment" given to her by former "Smallville" actress Allison Mack that triggered her abrupt exit, she said.

Joan alleges to Fox News that the assignment Mack, who she says was her "grandmaster" in DOS (she claims India Oxenberg was her "master"), handed her served one purpose: "to seduce Keith."
"It was horrifying in that moment. It was a very serious level of betrayal because I trusted Allison. We built a friendship. The assignment was to help remove any of my issues that had to do with being sexually abused in the past. She was going to put me in a situation to then create harm on harm that I already had at the time," she claimed.
Joan isn’t yet willing to detail her leaving DOS and the NXIVM organization. But when asked by Fox News if she hopes one day Mack gets prison time, her hope is for justice to be served.
"You know, it feels like being in limbo," Joan said of awaiting Mack's sentencing. "I don’t know one person that thinks being in limbo is fun. That’s the best way to describe it. I’m definitely looking forward to that day happening and having another door of this closing and really being able to put it behind me."

Mack is currently under house arrest at her parents’ home in California. She pleaded guilty to racketeering charges in April 2019. A spokesperson for the U.S. Attorney’s Office in the Eastern District of California declined comment when asked if the ongoing pandemic is the reason Mack has yet to receive a sentencing date. The office, however, did confirm no date has been scheduled.

"I think until that’s done, it’s still in the air," Joan continued. "I’m very much looking forward to everything coming to a close."
Raniere’s sentencing was the second in the case that saw five co-defendants on trial. In addition to the disgraced NXIVM leader and Mack were Clare Bronfman, Lauren Salzman and her mother, Nancy Salzman. One month prior to Raniere's sentencing, Bronfman was handed nearly seven years behind bars for her involvement.
Joan credited Judge Nicholas Garaufis for overseeing the case with care.
"He’s been really incredible. I have faith in the judge and those involved. I believe justice will prevail."

April 20, 2021, was three years to the day that Mack was placed in handcuffs. While the day is one Joan says is "definitely not a holiday or something that’s in my calendar," she’s often reminded by reports.

"I’m definitely aware when these things happen. For me, it’s a reminder of the evils that exist in the world and how important it is to not lose sight and to trust our gut and intuition," she said.
While some familiar with the case have questioned if Mack was a victim of Raniere herself, Joan acknowledges that "to a certain degree everyone has been."
However, she believes Mack "needs to be held accountable, and she was also a victimizer."
Joan first revealed her identity in an on-camera interview with CBS News in December. She described her coming out as Jane Doe 2 as "a release."

"It was like as if you’re a big balloon and you’re about to pop and I just needed to get a little pin and get some air out," she described. "I really needed that for myself and my own healing, to just let it out."
Today, Joan is surrounded by a support system in Los Angeles. She’s also putting in the work to keep steady on a path toward healing.
"My process is just every day setting the intentions of being the best version of myself, being gentle with myself, practicing self-love and sometimes that might look like crying, sometimes that might be journaling, sometimes that might be spending time in nature. I’m patient with myself and just focused on being kind," she said.
Additionally, the model describes herself as someone who’s always been an "avid seeker" of bettering herself. That’s what attracted her to the appeal of NXIVM from the beginning, back in 2016 when she began taking the organization’s executive success programs.

"I had a really traumatic childhood," she shared. "I’ve always been a seeker in wanting to do my own personal development and healing to sort those things out. That was definitely the appeal, especially because it was based under the guise of a humanitarian personal development program."
Joan expected NXIVM’s curriculum to help her reach "my highest potential." While she did not receive that fully, she has walked away – quite literally – with lifelong friends she met during her time in it.
"One of the things about NXIVM and this whole experience is that they were really great at attracting really amazing people. I think that’s one of the most sinister and unfortunate parts of this whole thing. They really preyed on good, kindhearted people that wanted to help others. There’s definitely friends that I made in this that will be friends for life," she said.
Joan is currently working on a book she plans to self-publish this coming August. It will touch on NXIVM, but its purpose will extend far beyond her experiences there.

She’s also in the middle of an overhaul to her podcast, "The Untouchable Jessica Joan." She plans to release new episodes next month.

"It’s going to be about the traumas, how I’ve overcome them and also different tools that I’ll be sharing with other people that helped me in hopes that it will help them," she said of her book.
Fortunately for Joan, who revealed she has undergone EDMR as opposed to cult deprogramming therapy at the advice of therapists, she’s using all she’s learned from her traumas to do what she’s wanted to do all along: face her traumas head-on, and in turn, help others.

"One of the things I’m really grateful for is because I had such a traumatic and chaotic childhood, having that street-smart and that wherewithal is what allowed me to overcome and persevere this NXIVM experience. So thankfully, even though this was a tragic situation, I don’t feel I’m in a tragic space at all."
Attorneys for Mack did not immediately return Fox News' request for comment.

In a decision that sparked condemnation from environmental advocates, fisherfolk and neighboring countries, Japan announced Tuesday a plan to dump over 1.2 million tons of stored contaminated wastewater from the Fukushima Daiichi nuclear power plant into the Pacific Ocean.
The decision made by Prime Minister Yoshihide Suga’s Cabinet gives Tokyo Electric Power Company (TEPCO) the green light to release Fukushima’s wastewater into the sea just over a decade after one of the worst nuclear disasters in history — discharges won’t begin for two years, as TEPCO prepares for a process that is expected to take decades.
Greenpeace said in a statement that the decision, which has long been contemplated but delayed due to strong public opposition, is a violation of international maritime law that “completely disregards the human rights and interests of the people in Fukushima, wider Japan and the Asia-Pacific region.”
“The Japanese government has once again failed the people of Fukushima,” said Kazue Suzuki, climate and energy campaigner at Greenpeace Japan. “The government has taken the wholly unjustified decision to deliberately contaminate the Pacific Ocean with radioactive wastes.”
“The Cabinet’s decision failed to protect the environment and neglected the large-scale opposition and concerns of the local Fukushima residents, as well as the neighboring citizens around Japan,” Suzuki added. “Greenpeace stands with the people of Fukushima, including fishing communities, in their efforts to stop these plans.”
Polling data from Greenpeace Japan has shown that a majority of residents in Fukushima and throughout Japan object to the release of contaminated wastewater into the Pacific Ocean. The nationwide federation of Japan Fisheries Cooperatives, in particular, is completely opposed to sea discharges.
As Al Jazeera reported Tuesday, “Local fishing communities worry that years of work to convince consumers that Fukushima’s seafood is safe will be wiped out by the release.”
An official with the association of Fukushima fishermen unions told AFP:
“The message from the government that the water is safe is not reaching the public, that’s the huge problem … Our efforts in the past decade to restore the fish industry will be for nothing.”
According to the Associated Press:
“The plant’s operator, Tokyo Electric Power Co. and government officials say tritium, which is not harmful in small amounts, cannot be removed from the water, but all other selected radionuclides can be reduced to releasable levels. Some scientists say the long-term impact on marine life from low-dose exposure to such large volumes of water is unknown.”
The government stresses the water’s safety, calling it “treated” not “radioactive,” even though radionuclides can only be reduced to disposable levels, not to zero. The amount of radioactive material that would remain in the water is unknown.

Last year, Jan Haverkamp, a senior expert on nuclear energy policy at Greenpeace, warned that there remains “a lot of uncertainty about the effects of tritium.”
“The moment that I hear the word ‘treated’ being used instead of ‘contaminated,'” Haverkamp said, “I can’t think differently than this is a kind of newspeak.”
Disposal of contaminated wastewater has been delayed for years by safety concerns and protests, but Suga told lawmakers that releasing it into the Pacific Ocean was “a problem that cannot be avoided” because, according to the New York Times, “the space used to store the water is expected to run out next year.”
But Greenpeace’s Suzuki said the Japanese government “has discounted the radiation risks and turned its back on the clear evidence that sufficient storage capacity is available on the nuclear site as well as in surrounding districts.”
“Rather than using the best available technology to minimize radiation hazards by storing and processing the water over the long term,” said Suzuki, “they have opted for the cheapest option, dumping the water into the Pacific Ocean.”
According to a Greenpeace report published in March, there are “alternatives to the current flawed decommissioning plans for Fukushima Daiichi, including options to stop the continued increase of contaminated water.”
Last year and again last month, the UNs’ human rights special rapporteurs warned Japan’s government that discharging the wastewater from the Fukushima nuclear plant into the environment violates the rights of its citizens and neighbors. The UN pleaded with Japanese officials to postpone any decision on dumping the contaminated water into the sea until after the COVID-19 pandemic was over so that adequate international consultations could be held.

I am waiting for a doctor's phone call, as I am writing these few lines. The much awaited Emergency Broadcast System has not happened yet, but spring is here. The work along with this is also waiting, like pressure washing, planting in the garden and spring cleaning. As I await the birth of my newsest familly member, a little boy; we rejoice each day for the opportunities God gives us. Life, Freedom, and liberty!! Take deep breaths, we will get through this together. Please be kind to yourself, you still Matter to Me.
I realize that this blog has taken a different turn for the time being. I hope you forgive me. What is hidden before our eyes right now is the many, many suicides, and mental health concerns that these lockdowns, and innevitable poverty that the government officials have placed over us. Good Morning, I hope that in the midst of our joy of the Ressurection, we remember the Crucifixtion of our Lord and Saviour. The Lamb of God who was slain for all of mankind, so if we live as if there IS A GOD, we can obtain Eternal life.
Our family enjoyed a small gatherering surrounded by little ones and laughter amidst trying times. For the first time, we had a leg of lamb roast. I was the bone carver, and we made it Morrocan style according to chef Ramsey. The significance of the lamb could not be over emphasized. Jesus was led to the slaughter, and He willingly laid down his life for us. He loves us and always wanted our reconcilliation with the Father. Our Hope rests in Him alone. All of Humanity and the animal kingdom is waiting for the redemption of our planet. Our hope rests in Him also. We are waiting for the day when we can go from darkness to light, and mankind, the Human Race would be in sincht with the Creator.
I have been also deperatelly waiting for the re instatement of a righteous government. I have been waiting for people to wake up, and through away their masks, and NOT get the injection. Recently, a doctor in his 40's died of a cardiac arrest/ blood clot. The staff worked 4 hours to save him, but he died. We hear of The health authority telling that it is ok to inject pregnant mother's with the Covi vaccine (gene altering serum), when the hospitals will NOT inject a mother to be. One just was declared unsafe, yet they are injecting infants with the Pfeizer. Once your DNA is mutated, there is no going back. Each person has to take responsibility for their own health. Do NOT be like sheep, and follow what the news media tells you. You will for sure regret this action.
I have been banned again from facebook for posting the findings of a group of doctors who confirm that Covi is no more than an influenza A or B. Yet, at an alarming rate people line up for the tests which even before administered are infected with Covi. Beware!!!!! don't take the test, don't take the Vaccine. Tell everyone to wake up. Visit your family as much as possible in a normal fashion. Become the teacher in your homes, and communities.
