Successful Prayer in Spiritual Warfare, depends a lot on your spiritual condition in your life, including your relationship in Christ and your Love for the LORD. There are so many things that interconnect with this topic, but I will outline the most important things to consider.
How to Pray Spiritual Warfare for Youself or Interceeding for Others:
(1) DO EVERYTHING IN LOVE, even when you pray Spiritual Warfare over someone or for yourslef, because this is where the true power of God comes out from "LOVE". 1Corinthians 16:14 And do everything with love. 1 John 4:18 There is no fear in love; but perfect love casteth out fear: because fear hath torment. He that feareth is not made perfect in love.
(2) Know Your Authority in Christ and How to use the Keys that open every door, which are powered by faith in Jesus Christ. Because we believe in Jesus, He gave us the right to use His Name and access His Power and Authority, at any given time against the enemy, to destroy all the works of satan. When we pray, we are to command the enemy to go in the name of Jesus, just like a Sergent does in the Army (Order Them).
Philippians 2:9-11 Therefore God exalted Him (Jesus) to the highest place and gave Him the name that is above every name, that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth, and every tongue acknowledge that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.
John 14:13-14: "And whatever you ask in My name, that I will do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. If you ask anything in My name, I will do it."
John 16:23, 24: "Whatever you ask the Father in My name He will give you. Until now you have asked nothing in My name. Ask, and you will receive, that your joy may be full."
Mark 16:16-18 He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned. And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues; They shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover.
(3) Make Sure Your Spiritual House Is Clean Before You Pray (False Beliefs) = If you have things in your house that God hates and are ungodly, it will affect the power of your prayer and its effectiveness. Clean out your physical house of these things, repent and destroy them in the name of Jesus. Forget about their value or sentimental significance, Obey The Lord.
Deuteronomy 7:26 Neither shalt thou bring an abomination into thine house, lest thou be a cursed thing like it: but thou shalt utterly detest it, and thou shalt utterly abhor it; for it is a cursed thing.
Joshua 7:13 “Get up, sanctify the people, and say, ‘Sanctify yourselves for tomorrow, because thus says the LORD God of Israel: “There is an accursed thing in your midst, O Israel; you cannot stand before your enemies (Defeat Them) until you take away the accursed thing from among you.”
(4) Repent Before You Pray = Give the satan nothing to accuse you of, in the middle of prayer regarding sin in your life, because this has great affect on what you are praying for and against.
1 John 1:9 If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.
(5) Plead The Blood of Jesus Before You Pray = After you have repented for something, ask The Lord to wash you in The Blood of Jesus from all unrighteousness.
Revelation 12:11 And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony; and they loved not their lives unto the death.
(6) Always ask The LORD to show you what to Pray For or Against.
Matthew 6:33 But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.
(7) YOU MUST ALWAYS BIND THE STRONGMAN "SATAN" FIRST BEFORE YOU BEGIN WARFARE.
Matthew 12:29 Or else how can one enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he first bind the strong man? and then he will spoil his house.
Mark 3:27 No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strong man; and then he will spoil his house.
(8) Then you must bind these other demonic realms etc:
Ephesians 6:12 For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.
2 Corinthians 10:4-6 (For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds;) Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ; And having in a readiness to revenge all disobedience, when your obedience is fulfilled.

Then ask The Lord to show you what else you need to bind, and COMMAND THEM to go to the pit or hell, in the name of Jesus. You will begin to see break through's, sometimes straight away and other times later on ! The Name of Jesus opens every door and is powered by FAITH and LOVE!

Begin to pray like this:
EXAMPLE: Heavenly Father, in the name of Jesus, I lift up Mr and Mrs Johns to you and I ask you to show me what to pray for them and interceed with me in prayer to deliver them from the enemy.
In the name of Jesus I bind you satan and all your works, powers, principalities, rulers of the darkness of this world, spiritual wickedness in high places, every demonic stronghold, every wicked imaginations of the thoughts of the heart, every high thing that exalts itself above the knowledge of God and every curse, spell and hex, which is attacking them.
I command in the name of Jesus you to leave them and goto the place prepared for you and that every bondage of sin be broken over their lives in the name of Jesus.
I loose The Sword of The Spirit and The Blood of Jesus against you satan and all these things I have prayed against and destroy you in the Mighty Name of Jesus.
Lord I ask that you show me anything else I need to pray for them.
Heavenly Father, I ask that You that you save them and loose your Divine Wisdom, Knowledge, Understanding, Your Word, Love Peace, The Blood of Jesus and Healing Power, upon Mr and Mrs Johns so that they come to know you. In Jesus' Mighty Name, Amen.
