Teen Daughter of "Queen of Versailles" died

June 7, 2015
The teen daughter of "Queen of Versailles" stars David and Jackie Siegel died Saturday after being found unresponsive in their Windermere home, Orange County sheriff's spokesman Jeff Williamson said.
Victoria Siegel, 18, was found unresponsive by deputy sheriffs at the Siegels' "Seagull Island" mansion on Green Island Cove just after 2 p.m. Saturday, Williamson said.
She was taken to Health Central Hospital in Ocoee, where she was pronounced dead.
Williamson said the medical examiner was still determining the cause and manner of death.

Siegel said he would not comment until an official statement is released.
"The victim's father has informed investigators that he will be making a statement in the coming days regarding the death of his daughter and is requesting privacy at this time," Williamson said.
A post on Jackie Siegel's Facebook page Sunday stated that "It is with great sadness that we ask you to respect our privacy during this tragic time and the loss of our beloved daughter, Victoria. Thank you all for your prayers and for your support.

"As more information comes out the family will share it, until that time there is no comment."
David Siegel is the founder of the Orlando-based time-share company Westgate Resorts, which has grown into an empire of 28 resorts across the country, and also owns the Westgate Las Vegas Resort and Casino and the Cocoa Beach Pier.
Siegel also developed Orlando's Mystery Fun House attraction, which operated on International Drive until 2001, and purchased the Orlando Predators Arena League Football team in 2014.

Jackie Siegel was Mrs. Florida America in 1992 and sits on the Westgate board.
The Siegels may be best known nationally for Lauren Greenfield's 2012 documentary, "Queen of Versailles," which followed them as they built a second 90,000-square-foot mansion, called Versailles House, on Kirkstone Lane nearWindermere, which they have said they hope to complete by David's 80th birthday in May 2016.

The Siegels most recently appeared on last Wednesday's episode of the ABC reality show "Wife Swap."
