Busy Week

This week has been very busy. All my girls are home, with the exception of the one who is really HOME, Deborah.
Today we went to the USA, Bellingham, to look for wedding shoes. My sweet girl got discouraged as Macey's did not carry it in their department store. She would like a closed toe shoe, which I think would be a great idea. We ended up finding the silk robes that the bridesmaids will wear as they are getting ready for their debut on the wedding day. Just prior we stopped at a hall to see if we can have the wedding venue hosted there.Unfortunately you have to be a union member to rent this particular hall.  It is going to take a miracle to find a venue at such short notice, of eight months. All venues are booked eighteen months in advance. The young couple do not wish to wait an additonal year. Many things have to be decided, and a venue and church choosen, before my daughter goes back to school. Things are getting stressful. We are going to see wedding dresses later this week, with all the sisters present. What a milestone. Boxes are getting ready with the invitations for the bridesmaids and groomsmen to help the young couple. Cake decorators are lining up, to make the cake. The church is more or less decided upon. Guest lists are being prepared. Candles, ribbons and blings were bought on boxing day. Boxes for the wedding cards were looked at but not purchased yet.
Two days ago, the engagement photographs were taken at Coal Harbor. We stopped at Soirette, a macarons and tea house. Ladies engaged in chatter over black, green, white, oolong, and heral and rooibos teas. It was indeed the macaroons that interested the young couple the most, served on tall china plates.  A friend of Deborah's graciously accepted the challenge of photography. She does this as a side job, and some of the pictures you have been seeing on my blog have been taken by her. We went into Stanley Park to take photo's by the sea-wall, and the lighthouse. Still many more decisions looming over the future. Where will the young couple live? Will we have overseas guest? Will they have the funds to pull this off? Will my girl have to go to work and school at the same time? In the end, we all have to wait and see, and rest in the fact that we have enough strenght for one day at a time, not more, not less.
