A Conference for Long-term Suicide Loss Survivors

Dear Friends,

Time is running out to register for the Our Journey Continues conference — the first national healing conference designed specifically for long-term suicide loss survivors. The event will take place on the weekend of September 9–11, 2016, at W Chicago hotel.

The Our Journey Continues conference is for people who have worked through the early experiences of suicide loss and have processed the earlier stages of grief, likely over a period of several years. Interactive in nature, and featuring many of the nation’s top experts in grieving after a suicide loss, the two-day conference is a unique opportunity for those who are ready to engage in the next steps of sharing and healing together.

SCHOLARSHIPS AVAILABLE

AFSP has received additional funds to award a limited number of scholarships to cover the registration costs ($300) for the conference. Scholarship recipients are expected to cover their own travel costs to the conference. Priority will be given to applicants who are military suicide loss survivors, family members of paid registrants, or loss survivors who are current students, though others are welcome to apply. Applications will be accepted until August 1 or until funds are no longer available, whichever is sooner. Click here to apply for a scholarship.

Some topics to be discussed include:
  • Healing Into Action
