An unidentified man is dead after he jumped from the George Washington Bridge early Monday evening, Port Authority spokesman Joseph Pentangelo said.
The man, who is white and aged between 35 and 40 years old, stopped his car around 5:15 p.m. in the right eastbound lane about midway across the bridge, Pentangelo said. He left the vehicle and jumped from the south side
A harbor patrol unit recovered the body and brought it to a morgue in Upper Manhattan.
