My Birthday

Today is my birthday. I am a 1960 baby. A millennial. I had some gift cards and bought a bunch of food to share from a local restaurant that my daughter worked at. Everyone pretty well is new since she left over 3 years ago, maybe closer to  5 years. They were very gracious to me, and helped me select foods like Margerita pizza, steak, sushi, artichoke dip, a noodle and Thai chiken dish, rice, cheesecake and chocolate cake. Since I was not in the mood to cook today, I thought this would be the next best thing. Also, it saves us from cooking for our students.
I already did my hospital visitation this morning, now I am just hoping to relax with a glass of wine. Turning 58 is not an easy thing. I hear every decade gets harder. Sometimes I feel that I am no longer needed. Maybe, just maybe once I become a grandmother I will feel more needed. So today, is a little day of giving thanks to God for His faithfulness, after all He is the reason we live.
