An Update on Potter's Sale

Hello Everyone,
Well, today was an exciting day. It started out by us, purchasing  a few recylying bags from Safeway, as the measurements had to be just right to cram in all our finds at this Garden Centre Supply Store. When we got there sometime after 7:30, there were at least 75 people in a line up before us, many sitting on pop up chairs since the early hours of the morning. I happened to bring along my little pull along newspaper cart, and I had many people smile at me since no one had thought of that before. Considering it was our first time ever at such a sale, I didn't quiet know what to expect. The place promptly opened at 8 am. Thankfully, my husband came along, and we discussed that we simply grab a bunch of gardening supplies, and if we need to we will go through it before walking out with the goods, and simply leave what we don't need. So, basically because we had the cart, I did not have to carry many pounds of boxes of fertilizer, bags of de icer, plant food, bone meal, electric lights, and cords, metal plant holders, tomato fertilizer, lawn weed killer, orchid plant food, broom,  some ornaments, LPG cylinder piggy bank, boxes and boxes of organic bone meal. We wheeled ourselves through the door, and hubby came to the rescue and brought the car close so we can load up.. Generally, folks buy lots of stocking stuffers, during this time, as each bag of goods was a crisp $10 only.
So this afternoon, as soon as we emptied the SUV, we got the motivation to garden.. We planted seeds into our new pots, Oh, and I almost forgot we even got a gadget to measure rain fall. Most of the shoppers, ended up buying ornaments for their garden, burlap, and metal rods to hold hanging baskets. I don't know what the first 75 people got, but the sale was pretty well over in one hour.  The owners apparently, sold their property, so there will not be a next time unfortunately, at this location.

My husband carefully taped the fruit trees around to prevent ants from going up them. We did not see any slug baits, or the like, but as my friend said, easily we have saved over 600 dollars in garden supplies. God is faithful, and we thank Him for the abundance He showers us with daily. A Special Thank you to the sweet lady who told us about it.
