the original God of the Jews, YHVH, (Yahveh) the God of Abraham, Isaac,
and Jacob, is the same God which the Christians know and worship. I
don't mean just the nominal only christians who may have been born into a
christian family, but the real, spiritual , true believing christians
who are serious about knowing God. Christianity is a spiritual walk with
God, not just a list of things you are told by other humans. The point
is to reconcile with God since we all have for some reason, and to
varying degrees, been led astray from Him usually by the world or other
people, after we are born.
Another important link between ANCIENT Judaism and Christianity, (among many links), is that the Messiah/ Redeemer was foretold and promised/ prophecied about, in the Old Testament, and Christ came as the Messiah that the prophets foretold. The Bible's New Testament is a Holy Scriptural continuation of the Old Testament, and of course there is also more that happened in continuum afterward, in the history of the people who have believed God and came to know Him as the ancient Spiritual believers, patriarchs and prophets, early and current day Christians have-- in a personal Spiritual relationship, experiencing and observing His gifts, Power and other attributes first hand.
