Xrp was essentially to be a token backed by gold.
Xlm backed by silver.
Xrp's value has grown immensely to the point they are most likely going to do a "buy back" to collect it all from us and only governments will use it for very large transfers so they can trade internationally w lightning speed and large sums very very cheaply.
We most likely won't get to keep it too long, but will get a nice payout from that.
Xlm is very similar, BUT it will be the "people's money" similar to silver.
I've watched shows that said xrp value could be $1 million/xrp based on the amount of tokens and the amount of money needing to be moved.
That's y I think they'll do a buy back and just use it between countries for very large transfers and we'll use xlm and stable coins as we don't need $1 million tokens.
I hope that helps abd doesn't further confuse you?
Xrp has kind of transitioned as we progressed and will be more of a "ledger system" to track transfers and allow large sums to be moved instantly for very little fees.
Xlm will just have a lower value so it's more user friendly.
That's my take on it, but someone else may have a different opinion too?
