  • The social worker, who lived in Oakland, California, was with a group of people when she died, and her death was ruled as accidental by the local coroner 
  • First responders went to the state park campsite at 9.30am after reports of a woman having a seizure and becoming unresponsive
  • Emma is the half-sister of Veep star Julia Louis-Dreyfus, sharing the same father billionaire William Louis-Dreyfus, but they did not appear to be close 
  • A tribute notes Emma was a 'brilliant, progressive thinker and supporter of social justice' who loved her niece, nephews and dogs
  • A probate filing on October 3 in Alameda County, California granted her mother, Phyllis Louis-Dreyfus, the authority over her estate, valued at $23 million 
  • According to the filing, Emma had set up a company for the purpose of developing property for marijuana production, investing $4.5 million
