Haunted by the sounds of wailing, the family falling to their knees.
My sister running into the living room, waving the goodbye letters frantically in the air.
My dad wobbled to the wicker chair burying his face in his hands.
My mom screaming loudly, crying over the loss of her other baby.
I stood there unsure of what to say or do.
All I kept repeating to myself, "She can swim. She's out there somewhere."
