Shooting Star

August 18, at dusk Deborah left our world. The same night, a young, very attractive woman prayed that even though she fights depression, she would never do what Deborah has done. The news rocked her world, and in tears she cried out to God. This young woman, I'll call Andrea for the sake of the story, has fought depression for a long time. Her anxiety, feeling of low self esteem despite her beauty, has caused her to work  at none peak hours, so she could maintain her composure. Andrea's weight has fluctuated from the medication she was on for anxiety and panic attacks. It has paralyzed her into believing that she cannot pursue a career or further her studies. Eventhough, Andrea is feeling better than she has for a long time, and lost the weight her medications piled on, she related to how Deborah must have felt when she took her own life. She too, has thought of this in her own mind, not once but perhaps many times.  Andrea prayed to God that she would never put her family through the pain that Deborah has put us in.
She asked God for a sign in the deep of the night, that He has heard her prayer. At approximately 10:15 pm with tears streaming down her face, she saw a fire ball streaking across the British Columbia skies. God has confirmed to Andrea, that he has heard her prayers. Also, she believed that Deborah was soaring in the heavens.

When we feel like giving up, and we will, we must remember that Jesus also thought of giving up in the Garden of Gethsemane. He asked for the Father to take the cup away from Him, but God did not, and so the angels came to minister unto Him. So the very important lesson, is even when we feel like giving up, PLEASE, PLEASE DON'T.
