Keeping my Clutter

It almost seems like no one is talking about the opioid crisis`in the news. It almost seems that no one is talking about suicide in the news anymore. Not that there have been great reporting s in the past, since the media is muzzled about most of such news. Sometimes when it is a murder-suicide then we hear more. Perhaps it is because it is summer, and we don't hear about it, as we are busy in the gardens and frequenting the beaches. I can't believe how much work is involved in harvesting the food we grow in the garden. I am freezing berries daily now. Today, I had a race to the raspberry bushes since one of my girls have taken a particular interest in them, after watching 'what the health' on Netflix.

I organized my closet a little, so I can climb into it, I did a few loads of laundry, and let the breeze dry my clothes. I watered the young trees and fruit and veggie bearing plants.  I still have no desire to cook in this heat. I cleaned out the bathrooms, and I am so done already for the day. My problem could be that I have too much stuff. I rarely de-clutter. I have been waiting for the children to move out and take what they need. Maybe, they won't want anything I have. If that is the case, I think I am still wise to keep many things. Why, you ask? It is because if the economy collapses, and the Great Tribulation comes about, whoever is left here will need every thread, and tool, and supplies that we have accumulated. Food of course will be the most valuable commodity. I just can't bring myself to de-clutter, and have a home that is all white in furniture, almost sterile.

Next week, I will have another Japanese student arriving. Again, I will not have an abundant amount of time to tidy things then. Before you know it, the summer will be gone. I feel my energy is measured. I try not to be discontent with the abilities that God gives me for the daily chores and activities. The last thing I want to do is murmur, because that is detestable to God. The Israelites murmured when they left Egypt because they had no cucumbers and garlic.. Can you belive it? Well it is true.
