Ministry News June 2017
Dear Saints,
Greetings
in the sweetest name of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. We are
grateful for upholding us in your prayers. The last news letter was sent
from Dimapur, Nagaland. We are late in sending the ministry news as we
got busy after returning back to Bhopal with the Pastor's classes. We
hope you will forgive us.
We
returned back to Bhopal on the 5th of July after a very blessed East -
North India 59 days Trip that took us across 13 states of India and two
countries - Nepal and Bhutan over a total of around 8095 kms.
The North East - Assam, Nagaland, Manipur
This
was our third mission trip to the North East. The visit to Dimapur
(Nagaland) was a blessing, God helped us spend time with the saints
there for a week and learn The Word. The Lord brought new souls also.
This time God helped us to go to Imphal the capital of Manipur also.
Though it is part of India, but citizens of India who are not residents
of Nagaland, need to get a Inner Line Permit from the Commissioner's
office, then only can they travel through Nagaland and go to Manipur.
Please pray for this part of the country where there are lot of churches
but the people are lost in their worldly affairs. The seriousness of
the walk with God is not there, here Christianity is just a religion.
Pray that God may raise up ministers who would teach The Word and set an
example before the masses. The hunger for The Word is there. The Gospel
came to this part of the world around 1830's.
God
has opened new doors in Assam, a Pioneer missionary with his wife is
pioneering in Guwahati, the capital of Assam. God is blessing them with
souls. Life is hard, they need your prayers as they move on. .
Bhutan & Nepal
This
time we got an opportunity to enter Bhutan and stay for few hours, the
visit was unexpected, God be willing we plan to go into the interiors.
Bhutan is closed to the Gospel and lot of persecution is going on
inside. Please uphold this nation so that the light of the Gospel may
shine in the hearts of the people.
The
Nepal visit was a great blessing, this time we had the first youth camp
for the youths in the eastern part of Nepal. Nearly 100 youths had
gathered for a two day camp. It was a very blessed time. Please uphold
them in your prayers so that might warriors of the Gospel may rise up
from among them. After the youth camp we had the believers camp for
three days. Saints from Bihar and Nepal had gathered for the annual
Bible classes, please uphold the ministers, their families and the
believers as they walk with the Lord. God is opening new doors in
different parts of Nepal. Pray for our sister Kalpana who is laboring in
the borders of China, all by herself, the Lord has taken her to those
high altitudes of the Himalayas. The people in those areas are of
Buddhist faith. Pray that people in those high altitudes may see the
Light of God through her.
Uttar Pradesh
From
Nepal we traveled to Katara a new place in Uttar Pradesh. The Lord
helped us to spend two days with the saints there and to learn the
basics of our faith. This place is in the interiors of Uttar Pradesh.
Then we had our annual Bible class in Farookhabad, saints and ministers
from neighboring Kanpur and other places had gathered for the Bible
classes. It was a great blessing for all of us.
Uttrakhand
From
there we traveled to Rishikesh, It is a city in India's northern state
of Uttrakhand, in the foothills beside the Ganges River. The river is
considered holy and the city is renowned as a center for studying yoga
and meditation. It is a city full of temples and Ashrams. People from
around the world come here to learn Yoga and to meditate to get peace in
their lives. You can see people sitting in caves and meditating for
days and moths. We had three days of Bible class there for the first
time. Please pray for this city where people come in search of peace,
that through Christ they may experience the everlasting peace that
passeth all understanding.
Himachal Pradesh
After
Rishikesh, we drove all the way to Shimla the capital of Himachal
Pradesh. It was once the summer capital of the British India. Once this
was the place from where one fifth of the world population was
controlled from Aden in Yemen to Myanmar. We had three days of Bible
classes with the saints living in this part of the country. Pray for the
minister and his family and the saints as they stand firm in their
faith and their lives may be a blessing for the people living in the
Himalayan state. Work is hard, but the Lord has been leading His saints
one step at a time, and He has been doing His work.
Haryana
We
had our annual Bible class in Sadhaura, Haryana, saints from different
parts of Haryana, Punjab, Uttar Pradesh and Uttrakahand had gathered for
the Bible classes. These classes have been uploaded on You Tube - The
subject is - The Omnipotent. These three days were a great blessing for
all of us to sit in the presence of God and to hear His words, and to
look at His ways down through the ages, and be strengthened in our
faith. Please pray for the ministry is Haryana as it grows from
strength to strength, persecution is there, but the Church is growing.
Delhi
In
the last leg of our trip, we reached Delhi, where we had our annual
Youth camp. around 150 youngsters from North India and central India had
gathered for the camp. Last years camp had generated a lot of interest
in our youths, It was hard selecting 150 youngsters as we have limited
accommodations. Since we do not have a place of our own to host such
camps we have to rent places, and there are limitations, Many youngsters
were disappointed because they could not attend. But the camp was a
great blessing for all of us. We too were strengthened to see the zeal
and the faith of our next generation. God be willing next year's camp we
plan to host in Dehradun and we plan to take 250 youngsters.
After
the camp we had the annual Believers Bible class, saints from Punjab,
Delhi had gathered for the Bible classes which was a great blessing.
Finally
we returned back to Bhopal on the 5th evening. We are very much
grateful for upholding us in your valuable prayers. It was a busy,
tiring two months of long journey of around 8000 kms. We could sense the
presence of God with us all the time. Travelling during the day and
night. We thank God for the vehicle He gave us in 2014, clocked 50,000
kms travelling purely around the country and ministering to the saints
who are living in far of places. Please uphold the saints where the seed
of The Word has been sown, many of them are facing persecutions, they
need their prayers. God be willing our next mission trip to western and
southern India starts on the 19th of August.
Ministers Annual Classes in Bhopal
Soon after our return, the Annual Ministers classes started here in Bhopal, the classes will continue till the 6th of August.
Already two batches of Ministers have come and finished their this
years class now the third batch is studying The Word. Please pray for
all of us as we ministers spend days in the presence of God and are
strengthened in Him. Many a times we get tired, and lose focus.
Therefore this annual Bible class is a great blessing for all of us to
meditate and be strengthened.
HSPE
By
the grace of God the new batch of students have arrived for their
pioneer training. At present 23 students are staying with us and
learning The Word. It is encouraging to see youngsters after finishing
their high school deciding to dedicate their lives for the missions and
come to get trained for the mission fields. One student after finishing
his training has gone to kolkata as a pioneer missionary. Please pray
for him as he toils in the field.
We
once again thank you all for upholding the ministry in your prayers.
The Lord has been faithful, in spite of all the challenges, the ministry
has been growing by leaps and bounds. We find it hard to keep up with
the pace of the work. Lot of work is there, training ministers,
travelling around and ministering to the saints, but His grace has been
sufficient, no complaints, it has been a privilege to serve the Lord,
there in nothing else we could have desired. Through the You Tube many
saints are learning The Word. Pray for that ministry also. We are
grateful for all those who have been sending their gifts for the
ministry. It is the Lord who has been doing it, May His Name be
glorified.
