Mt. Lehman Cemetary Now

How did you like the song, 'Trust in You'? in my previous post? I and my now youngest were listening to it going to a cemetery in the country today. She was visiting her uncle Kenny who tragically died while surfing on the outside of a vehicle, as her girlfriend was driving the car. He fell off the car and hit his head, only to die in a Vancouver Island hospital pronounced brain dead at the age of 24..The things young people do for excitement... He is buried in Mt Lehman cemetery, Aldergrove, which had a very lovely facelift since I remember being there, 21 years ago. My baby, Deborah was only a month old when her uncle died, in 1995. The hills were rolling, the grounds well kept amidst some lovely trees, and a picturesque curvy road, with cows gently grazing across the graves. I heard the birds sing too.
We washed the stone, and placed some roses on it. What a lonely place, yet so alive. This uncle of my daughters, whom some barely knew. He was a troubled teen, from a broken home. He was a pawn in many ways, being told that he was the brother of his nephew, which was not the case at all. May the Lord have mercy on his soul. My daughter wanted to sent pictures of Kenny's grave, all washed and scrubbed, to his mom who is now getting frail. She herself has never been to her son's grave, due to distance and health limitations. Now, she will be able to see the gravestone, and the setting of where her beloved son is laid, my husbands brother. I always admire my sweet girl, coming up with such ideas. Truly she is an old soul for having lost her sister so early in her life. She is single too, and promises to always be with us, despite our urging her to make her life all that it can and should be.
After Mt. Lehman, we went to Valley View, to put fresh flowers on Deborah's grave.

Mt Lehman Before the Upgrades. This is how I remember it..

As August 18th approaches, we are still stunned, and lost.
