SEPTEMBER 23RD, YOM KIPPUR, AND AZAZEL - IS A MAJOR SPIRITUAL EVENT ON THE HORIZON?

   At the end of 1999, the world was caught up in Y2K mania.  Many people were convinced that the world's computers would not be able to process the year 2000 and most technology would be rendered useless as the world's computers would think it was actually 1900 and shut down all systems.  Many well known Christian ministries got involved with warning people to prepare for the worst.  At the time I was leading a study group and I am ashamed to admit that I, too, got caught up in the fear and spent two weeks teaching about preparations and possible ramifications of a world wide computer glitch.  Thankfully, Y2K was a non event and I learned to not be an alarmist.  Then 9/11 happened...

     After 9/11, the world seemed to turn upside down and life as we know it in America has fundamentally changed forever.  Homeland Security was formed, the Patriot Act was enacted and America has been at war in the Middle East ever since.  Interestingly, numerous films, television shows and cartoons displayed images of 9/11 linked with the Twin Towers and destruction, years before the event took place.  Click here to see video evidence (DISCLAIMER: I do not support the "insider job" message in this video, I am simply linking it to demonstrate a point).  I fully believe that Satan was well aware of the plans to destroy the World Trade Center and the changes it would bring to the world.  I do not believe filmmakers or television producers had any inside knowledge of an impending attack, but I do believe that much of our entertainment and media is influenced and, in some cases, blatantly inspired by evil forces bent on ushering in the kingdom of Anti-Christ, just at the Bible is inspired by God.  (Click here to read my blog on this topic)

      Interestingly, a new date has been found in numerous films and television shows, that date is September 23rd.  The interesting thing about September 23rd, is that it is this year's date of Yom Kippur, the Jewish day of atonement, which follows Rosh Hoshana, the Jewish New Year, which begins September 13 at sundown.  This particular year has great significance as it will begin a Jewish Jubilee year.  (please click here for Rabbi Jonathan Cahn's explanation) I have linked to a video with Rabbi Jonathan Cahn that will explain what this means far better than I could in this forum.  According to Rabbi Cahn, a Messianic Jewish Rabbi, something life changing will be taking place in America this September.  Rabbi Cahn has linked this to year to a great economic upheaval.  This is detailed in his book The Mystery Of The Shemitah.( a must read for any student of end time prophecy)

     Also very interesting and intriguing are all the films dealing with apocalyptic themes and how many of them reference the date 9/23.  Click here for video evidence (DISCLAIMER: I do not necessarily endorse all viewpoints or conclusions in this video, but use it as evidence of my point - WARNING- video contains disturbing images and may not be suitable for younger viewers)  The idea of releasing something spiritual seems to be a recurring theme linked to the date 9/23. This Fall, Fox television is premiering a series called Lucifer Fox's Lucifer - Conditioning Society to Retink Evil - click here  which recasts Satan as a mischievous, but lovable rogue who helps the police, while at the same time, CBS is set to release a series featuring a drunken guardian angel called Angel From Hell.  Is there a spiritual connection to these two shows and when they are to be released?

     
And, speaking of Lucifer, NASA and the Vatican have partnered on a venture meant to discover and make contact with alien life.  Mt. Graham, located in Arizona is home to the L.U.C.I.F.E.R. and VATT telescopes.  The site where these telescopes sit was a sacred site to Native Americans, believed to be a doorway between earth and the spirit world, a portal of sorts.  NASA won a court battle in order to use this site.  It seems that the Native Americans were not the only ones who recognized the spiritual significance of this site.      Seemingly unrelated to any of this is CERN's Particle Accelerator.  According to CERN's own website, subatomic particles called Gravitons seem to enter and exit our universe, suggesting multi-dimentionalism.  CERN has postulated that these particles are entering a dimension different from the 4 dimensions of time and space that we experience. Sergio Bertolucci, director of Research and Scientific Computing at CERN, has stated that a door may open and we may send something in and something may come out.  CERN has created an opera called Symmetry a trailer may be seen HERE if you watch the video, you will notice the creepy and occultic imagery.  Who or what is CERN attempting to contact?  Why is a giant statue of Nataraja outside of CERN's headquatrters?  According to Wikipedia, "Nataraja (Tamil:"நடராசர்" or Kooththan"கூத்தன்:), The Lord (or King) of Dance), is a depiction of the Hindu God Shiva as the cosmic dancer who performs his divine dance to destroy a weary universe and make preparations for the god Brahma to start the process of creation." - Wikipedia

The video linked above shows CERN workers doing the dance of Shiva.  If CERN is strictly a scientific venture, why would there be such links to spiritism?  Who or what is CERN attempting to contact, and for what purpose?

   As stated earlier, September 23rd is Yom Kippur, the Jewish Day of Atonement.  In Leviticus 16, we find God's command concerning Yom Kippur.  In the King James, we see that two goats are used, one for sacrifice and the other for the scapegoat.  Basically, one goat is slaughtered for the sins of the people and the blood of the slaughtered goat is sprinkled on the Ark of the Covenant.  The other goat ceremonially receives the sin of the nation and is sent out into the wilderness.  In the King James, and many contemporary translations, the second goat is referred to as the scapegoat.  In the original language, the second goat is for Azazel, and in verse 10 of Leviticus 16, we are told that the second goat is sent into the wilderness to Azazel. 

    According to the Book of Enoch, Azazel is the leader of a band of angels that impregnated human women, producing a race of giants, referred to as Nephillim in Genesis 6.  The Book of Enoch is not Biblical canon, but, the Apostle Peter and Jude, the half brother of Jesus, both quote from the book of Enoch in their writings found in the Bible.  (for more on this topic, please click here)  In the Book of Enoch, we see God punishing Azazel for his sin by chaining him to a rock and casting him into a bottomless pit, referred to by Peter as Tartarus, in his second epistle.  In Leviticus 16, we see the sins of the people being placed on a goat and the goat being sent to Azazel, in essence, sending all the sins of the people to this fallen angel.  

   So, according to the book of Enoch, Azazel, a fallen angel, is chained up in a bottomless pit.  According to Leviticus, God instructs the Israelites to send the sin of the people to Azazel.  In Revelation, we read: Rev_9:1-2, 11 -   And the fifth angel blew his trumpet, and I saw a star fallen from heaven to earth, and he was given the key to the shaft of the bottomless pit. 
  He opened the shaft of the bottomless pit, and from the shaft rose smoke like the smoke of a great furnace, and the sun and the air were darkened with the smoke from the shaft. 
  They have as king over them the angel of the bottomless pit. His name in Hebrew is Abaddon, and in Greek he is called Apollyon. 

Abbaodon and Appolyon means destroyer - According to Genesis chapter 6, a major factor contributing to God's destruction of the earth by flood was the corrupting influence of the Nephillim on the earth.  Thus, Abbadon and Appolyon may become the title of Azazel much like Satan, meaning adversary, is the title of the fallen angel whom we erroneously refer to as Lucifer.  Satan is more of a title than a name and we do not know his actual name, as it is not given to us in scripture. Following this logic, it is possible and very probable that Appolyon and Azazel are one and the same. 

    In Revelation 13, we read this: Rev 13:11-15  And I beheld another beast coming up out of the earth; and he had two horns like a lamb, and he spake as a dragon. 
  And he exerciseth all the power of the first beast before him, and causeth the earth and them which dwell therein to worship the first beast, whose deadly wound was healed. 
  And he doeth great wonders, so that he maketh fire come down from heaven on the earth in the sight of men, 
  And deceiveth them that dwell on the earth by the means of those miracles which he had power to do in the sight of the beast; saying to them that dwell on the earth, that they should make an image to the beast, which had the wound by a sword, and did live. 
  And he had power to give life unto the image of the beast, that the image of the beast should both speak, and cause that as many as would not worship the image of the beast should be killed. 

If this second beast that comes up out of the earth is Azazel, who is released in chapter 9, he gives his allegiance to the Anti-Christ and directs worship to him.  We also see this beast referred to in Revelation 11 and 17: Rev_11:7  And when they have finished their testimony, the beast that rises from the bottomless pit will make war on them and conquer them and kill them, 
Rev_17:8  The beast that you saw was, and is not, and is about to rise from the bottomless pit and go to destruction. And the dwellers on earth whose names have not been written in the book of life from the foundation of the world will marvel to see the beast, because it was and is not and is to come. 

We know from Revelation that there will be a being released from a bottomless pit that will be a destroyer.  This being will serve as a false prophet and direct worship to the Satan, via the Anti-Christ.  This being will be cast into hell by Christ, upon His return.  Satan, at this point will be chained and cast into the bottomless pit for 1000 years.  Revelation 20:1+3  Then I saw an angel coming down from heaven, holding in his hand the key to the bottomless pit and a great chain. 
  and threw him into the pit, and shut it and sealed it over him, so that he might not deceive the nations any longer, until the thousand years were ended. After that he must be released for a little while. 

Since Azezel is Biblically linked to Yom Kippur,(September 23, 2015) according to Leviticus 16, and since popular culture(most likely influenced and inspired by Satan) is pointing to a spiritual event taking place in the very near future, and since CERN is planning on opening a portal to another dimension and bringing something out in September,(remember the Nataraja outside CERN's headquarters) and since Revelation specifically describes a being coming from the bottomless pit and aligning with Satan, we can wonder if Azazel is about to be released into the world, bringing us closer to end time events.  

As mentioned earlier, two new shows coming to network television deal with spiritual beings coming to earth.  Fox's Lucifer and CBS's Angel From Hell.  We know that the Anti-Christ will be Satan personified. Does Angel From Hell refer to Azazel coming to earth?  Peter referred to the angels of Genesis 6 as being chained up in Tartarus, but the King James translates the passage this way:           2 Peter 2:4  For if God did not spare angels when they sinned, but cast them into hell and committed them to chains of gloomy darkness to be kept until the judgment; The Greek word translated as hell in this passage is the word tartaro meaning "deepest abyss".  Satan has never been to hell, but Azazel is associated with hell due to a poor translation of the word tartaro.  Are there spiritual forces telling us that Satan and Azazel are about to team up to attempt to take over the world and destroy God's people?

We seem to be marching swiftly towards the events outlined in Revelation and Daniel.  Just like Y2K, September 23rd may come and go without so much as a hiccup, but many things seem to be pointing to something major happening this September.  I am not setting a date for the rapture, nor do I even expect the rapture to occur this year, but I am expecting a major event in September, whether it is a financial event, a spiritual event or a natural disaster(or any combination of the three) to occur.  I hope that I am wrong and if I am, I will remove this post in November.  Whether something happens or not, it is a good time to get your spiritual house in order.

If you are a believer, I hope this has caused you to think about your relationship with God and to evaluate if you are living according to His will.  God desires an intimate relationship with you and wants to give you a deep understanding of His love for you.  God has gifted you to serve Him, are you fulfilling the role He chose for you at the foundation of the earth?  

Pray for God's Spirit to awaken His Church to the Great Commission and to bring revival to a lost world.  The end may not begin in September, but the Bible promises that it will come and we are called to be ready!
