A walk on New Year's Day

My husband and father of my children for almost 30 yrs
This is photo's of Bear Creek Park where Deborah's bench is placed. I took a picture of that as well, covered in snow, but it is on my cell phone. It was a picturesque day of chickadees asking for food, and squirrels looking for the same. This cold spell is not going to leave us soon. What was so fascinating is on one picture  this rope of ice from one tree to the other met at the middle.. I've never seen anything like it. Despite the snow we venture out, and had a wonderful time. It is so much easier to walk in the snow than on hard concrete in the shopping malls. We saw a single jogger running around the snow covered track, now that is dedication. Once we came home, we attempted to shovel the snow off our driveway and sidewalk. I have a lot of reflecting on what this year will bring. Yes, one can be excited and anticipate many good things, but realistically when we read Matthew 24 in scriptures, the last days will be tumultuous to say the least.. I think that goes for in the world and in our own families.. Jesus said He has bought a sword
