Lisa Phillips Jordan Sheesh read Luke 21:36
I think you are taking it way too far...what happened to the simplicity that is in Christ...Lets just be quiet serve the Lord with gladness .Trust him with all our hearts ...Your making my head spin with endless debate...Does it really matter when ...we know it's all going to happen so just be ready.

Doug Krieger Yes,
Lisa, "Watch therefore, and pray always that you may be counted worthy
to escape all these things that will to pass, and to stand before the
Son of Man" (Luke 21:36) - The question, however, is this (and sorry to
complicate the simplicity of the sounding of this verse) but what is the
antecedent of "all these things?"
If you refer back to Luke 21:20-24 it speaks of the initial destruction of Jerusalem and the Herodian Temple which took place in 70 AD. Those "things" obviously were in the remote past. But when you get to Luke 21:25 it immediately catapults us into astronomical "signs in the sun, in the moon, and in the stars; and on the earth distress of nations, with perplexity, the sea and the waves roaring; men's hearts failing them from fear and the expectation of THOSE THINGS which are coming on the earth, for the powers of the heavens will be shaken . . . . THEN they will see the Son of Man coming in a cloud with power and great glory . . . Now when THESE THINGS become to happen, look up and left up your heads, because your redemption draws near." (Luke 21:25-28).
Jesus then goes from this extremity of the very last of the last days in reference to THOSE THINGS/THESE THINGS to the Parable of the Fig Tree and "all the trees" as overt signs of His coming in glory (as He has just mentioned) and then He says: "When you SEE THESE THINGS" - what things - what He just mentioned--these astronomical signs in the heavens and upon the earth which are most certainly at the extremity of the end of the age as seen in Revelation 6:12 and many other passages - then Jesus wraps it all up and says: "Assuredly, I say to you, this generation will by no means pass away till ALL THESE THINGS take place." (Luke 21:32).
So what is being said here is altogether obvious: We, the believers, as you suggest, shall be counted worthy to escape all these FINAL THINGS, if you would--THINGS which Jesus described as the extremity of the tribulation of those days. The Scriptures are altogether clear that when these cataclysmic occurrences and astronomical happenings occur in the heavens: THEN THEY WILL SEE THE SON OF MAN COMING IN A CLOUD WITH POWER AND GREAT GLORY--not until then and THEN exactly what Jason is talking about here from Matthew 24:26-32 - THOSE THINGS we shall escape and THOSE THINGS take place AFTER the tribulation of those days . . . be prepared when all hell breaks loose and stand firm in the grace and faith you now possess through Christ!

This is what I posted with the help of a friend.
.How someone can read scripture and see the 7th trump before the final
resurrection of the saints, those being the tribulation "blessed dead"
of Revelation 14:13, is beyond me. We see the ascension followed by the
assembly on the sea of glass, Revelation 15:1-4. When and how did
these arrive? Jesus called them to "come up hither", at the same time
he called the two witnesses to "come up hither". Then, after this
event, the 7th trumpet is sounded, and then the bowls of wrath are
poured out. AGAIN, God's people are not subject to the wrath of the
Father, anymore than the bride being subjected to the wrath of the Lamb
seen in Revelation 6:12-17.
