This Photo was taken at my grandmother's funeral from my father's side. My grandpa is in the center front with my two eldest aunts Etelka and Elizabeth. My father is the youngest son Bill (Bela) who is the third person second row from the right, net to my very young and beautiful mother. Some of the figures are spouses, My grandparents had 7 living children (12 born). Anna, Erzsike, Ica, Mariska, Etelka, Pista (Steve) and my dad Bela. The family was residing in Fenyeslitke, Hungary, close to the Russian boarder. At age 58 I still consider Hungary my homeland, though I left with my parents at age 10 to escape Communist rule in 1970. Deborah had much fun visiting my parents in Florida with her sisters, and especially playing chess with my dad. Remarkably she beat him one time, one time only. |
