A FATHER has been charged after he allegedly confronted and choked a bully who was “tormenting” his stepdaughter.
Footage has emerged of the moment the argument between the father and a 14-year-old boy boiled over at a skate park on Sunday.
The video shows the man yelling and pointing at the boy before allegedly walking over and grabbing his neck, appearing to strangle him.
The man then pushes the boy off the ledge he is sitting on before the 14-year-old lashes out and hits the man in the chest.
As the incident begins to escalate, the teen’s friends jump in, yelling “Get the f**k off him, get off him!”
The man, the alleged bully and his friends are then seen tussling as they attempt to get the man off the boy.

The father then grabs the boy’s leg and attempts to drag him along the ground.
A flurry of air-punches is then thrown from the man towards the boy before they are separated for a second time.
Seven News, which released the footage, said the boy then went to the police to complain about being attacked and showed officers photos of the alleged scuffle which took place in Brisbane.
It is believed the man, reported to be a 53-year-old, told police the teen had been bullying his stepdaughter at school.
He has now been charged with assault occasioning bodily harm and will face court in two weeks.

The incident comes days after a 12-year-old Queensland boy attempted to take his own life twice due to horrific bullying.
On Friday, the 12-year-old’s brother Murray Benton shared a powerful image of his brother laying lifeless in a hospital bed in an attempt express his “honest disgust” and to “spread some much-needed awareness of bullying in our schools”.
Bullying fears
He wrote: “For months now this little guy has been bullied at school, he has been pushed around, been called names, been involved in both group and one-on-one fights, been made the laughing stock in front of his peers and the list goes on.
“As a result my brother has been pushed to the point where he would rather turn to self-harm as opposed to returning to school.
“After speaking to other parents within our Gympie community and hearing how many kids are in the same boat with our schools I am fully aware that he is not the only one. This in itself is disgusting.”
Murray also hit out at the school and the bullies, claiming they were given light punishment for their actions that could have had fatal consequences.
The victim’s older brother said that one bully was given only a three-day suspension and is now free to return to school to “repeat the behaviour again”.
“I now find out that one bully was given a three-day suspension but can then return to school, which he has done with full intention to repeat the same behaviour again.”
