A man has been charged with two counts of murder following the death of two neighbours in a West End building.
Vancouver police were called to 1835 Morton Ave. in Vancouver’s West End on July 9 around 5 p.m. When they arrived, police discovered a 57-year-old woman and a 51-year-old man, both of whom were dead.
At the time, police said they had arrested a “person of interest.”
On Tuesday, investigators announced Leonard Landrick, 73, had been charged with two counts of second-degree murder. The victims were identified as Sandra McInnes and Neil Croker.
Police said the victims and the accused knew each other and that all three lived in the same building, though police did not say whether the trio lived on the same floor or whether any of them shared an apartment.
