Find Someone who will treasure you for the rest of your life

Dear Readers,
I am so thankful to you. I have been able to carry on with your readership support for the last 3 years since my Deborah has passed. She jumped off the Patullo Bridge incase you are new to this blog. Last month alone I had over 6,000 view of my posts; often impersonal but relevant to the epidemic of suicide amidst us. Deborah was only 19, the youngest of 4 girls. She was witty, beautiful, talented and spoke 2 languages. Sadly, her mind was starting to break down, and she would have psychosis like symptoms 6 months prior to her leap to her death. She may have been bi-polar, but we did not know it. We were in shock one night when she did not come home from work. As a Christian family who gave our children lots of attention, love, and have invested in their character selflessly, we were stunned of her action. Since then, we have been on a learning curve, of do's and dont's when it comes to giving advice, support, giving a listening ear or full out counseling to families and friends who are going through similar unprecedented events in their lives.
Just recently, a friends son hung himself, a young teenager, also the youngest of four. As I write his future lies in the hand of God, as doctors suggest the family 'pulls the plug', and donates his organs to medicine. He is hanging unto life itself, and I can't imagine a harder place to be for a parent then theirs. How could a parent decide to say goodbye to their child forever? Do we listen to the doctors or beg God for simple faith whereby we can obtain a miracle? When a suicide is incomplete, the parent often is left with the decision of the future of their child. Do they accept that their child may never walk or talk again; and life only with their thoughts? My one daughter was implying that for a child who is confined to a wheelchair, the only ability is to think about their life of  decades of troubled and turbulent can't do's. Since they can't walk or talk, it is only perhaps the brain that is left to be active. Or do they mercifully accept the wish of the confused teenager who choose to end their pain?
I have not seen many video's as to people ending their lives due to failed love relationships. However, in some cases this is the reason for a suicide attempt. People; don't go there; don't even think about it. NO person deserves to rob you of your life. You must bounce back from rejection, and carry on to find someone who will treasure you for the rest of your life. You MATTER to Me and so many other folks..
Deborah in the spring
