Tonight, I wanted to impress my Japanese student of our musical
background. My husband put in a DVD carefully prepared from 8 tracks, to
preserve our children's growing up years and memories. Well, we saw
trips to Whistler with my sister on the gondola. We saw Christmas and
summer violin, piano and choir performances. we saw Deborah's baby video
but I fast forwarded those. We saw solo performances and performances
in orchestra's with the Surrey Symphony. We saw our 1991 trip to Hungary
on the Hortobagy. The horses played soccer. We saw piano practices, and Stardust roller skating
birthday party. Deborah had all her friends from the Surrey Christian
School there (2 boys only) It was a long video with her helmet
on,countless circles around the ring. I remember the lights, the Chicken
Dance, the pizza. Ohh, the memories! Deborah performed on many stages
in her brief life. She worked hard, and played hard. Her smile was
captivating, her joy full.
I shared with the student that I have
four girls, and one is in Heaven and how I long to go to Heaven too.
Deborah for sure is playing music in Heaven. Her Bluetner piano
hopefully will be present, and her angelic voice praise our God for all
eternity.
Tomorrow her friend from youth group will be coming
over in the afternoon. All the way from the Praries! Thank you for
ringing us up. We sure miss the sparkle that was surrounding Deborah. I
will choose to remember the good times. We will play all the beautiful
videos of her on August 18th, her passing. We will remember the good
memories. Satan cannot destroy the soul or spirit. We will never forget
her.
Tomorrow, I will be making Gulyas soup for Deborah's friends. Tomorrow, another smoke filled day here on the Lower Mainland of BC from the wildfires. My only consolation is that soon we will see one another face to face and see clearly.
