The Event I attended Last night.

Yesterday, I was surprised to have my daughter take me to the World Suicide Prevention Community event in the funeral home where Deborah is Buried. We lit little candles at exactly 8 pm when everyone else at 8 pm in the world did the same, and we placed them on the water of the now turned off water fountain. Little lights glistened on the top. I watched remotely the faces of the loved ones.. the survivors of suicide. We had little ribbons of yellow and orange placed on our clothing, and after some reflection and a song, we had a small snack that was provided. Truly a wonderful gesture by the funeral home. This was my first time attending such an event. Parents were there of the boys who took their lives shortly after being discharged from the Abbotsford hospital in 2014. There is still an inquiry going on about that.. I would not put myself through this personally, as few answers will be given, and Fraser Health and other authorities cannot be sued, anyways. I was telling my daughter's  boyfriend that nobody can successfully sue a lawyer in Canada.. Perhaps in the states, but not here.  I don't know why, but that is the case..No parent deserves to be put through the agony of dealing with these bureaucrats, who cannot even follow a discharge protocol, or a weekend leave protocol. I saw a few familiar faces too of which I was glad. Mental Health is in the news daily.. Let us get involved so there will be Not One More Suicide.
