Today is another big day. My tenant is moving out to make room my soon to be wed daughter and future son-in-law. Despite the fact that she just had four wisdom tooth pulled, she is ready to go in and prepare the room for painting by the evening. The moving truck isn't coming till around one o'clock. Since this will be her first home without "us" she is anxious to personalize it and decorate it as it is pleasant to her. I will get her some boxes today to pack all her little things, in order to move it about 30 feet into the next bedroom. Her current room will be used as an office, and the one least connected to the house will be their bedroom. New carpets will also be installed, some tile will be put in as back -splash in the kitchen, so lots and lots of work to occur before her wedding in around 40 days from now.
The issue of wether Moonshine, Deborah's cat should go with them or not is a big question. In one way, I would love it if she was downstairs, so I do not have to worry about my cherry engineered hardwood floors as much, and in other ways, I think they should be free from cats and children for a little while. They need to enjoy only one another, no distractions. In bible times it is mentioned that a soldier would be allowed a year of absence to make his new bride happy. Imagine! What a honeymoon!
Yesterday, the bride to be got her dress a short white textured one, from Winners, a local store, kind of like Marshall's. It is so lovely, she will be wearing this at her bridal shower, I think. She also got a few comfortable waitress shoes, for the final stretch of work before her wedding. Waitresses go through a lot of shoes did you know? Too much walking in high heel shoes can give you cramps in the groin area which is excruciatingly painful. Our bodies are wonderful in talking to us, and telling us what is doable and what isn't.

I can't wait to hear how the fundraising is going for Deborah's Memorial Bench. This dedicated folks are doing a 30 day challenge of fitness, and it will go towards the purchase of a bench a Bear Creek Park, just across my street. It is truly a park, a jewel of a park where Deborah used to run, and even cross country ski one time when we had snow in the Lower Mainland. Such treasured memories now. I don't know if you know of anyone who has depression, but please reach out to them today.
