The Designate U-Haul Driver

Yesteday, I was the designate U-haul driver, as the men at Sears loaded my new furniture, and I drove the vehicle home. This picture makes it seem like the truck is on top of me, but sadly, I don't have the rotate photo feature. I will never rent this truck close to month's end, as this little 10 footer was the only one available late on a Saturday afternoon. I was happy to have my 7 ft sofa, love seat and two arm chairs fit into it. In addition, my daughter picked up a set of washer and dryer from Cosco which we also delivered to their house on the same night. I made quiet a sight parked in the Cosco parking lot, while I waited for the purchases to come out on a flat bed cart. Today, was wrought with some additional excitement as we took the truck back. We had to make sure it was swept, gas filled to reflect how we received it and show up in a timely manner, so we do not run late fees. In total, with mileage fees, we ended up paying 100 dollars for the vehicle. Our sofa's are perfectly set up in our living room, and my tree is decorated.
