Saying No, during the Holidays
Today, I am going to a pot bless luncheon put on by the 'walking survivor's support group". The sun is peaking out, and my tuna melts are ready to serve. It will be nice to see everyone before the holidays. My tenant's Christmas bureau boxes arrived. It is lovely that we have these volunteer services in our community to help the needy at Christmas time. I am just greateful, that I have been able to help those in need by renting to them, a safe clean place where the Lord is present. I will even have help today putting up my new hood vent above my stove; yet another liquidation purchase from Sears. I think there must be at least 15 years of greese built up in the hood vent. I don't believe it sucked anything out of my kitchen. Hopefully, this upgrade model will preserve my wall paint a little longer, since we have no money to paint the living area. With the kitchen adjacent to the living room with no doors seperating the two, it is innevitable to have smoke, greese and fumes darken the paint at best. I have more card to put in the mail today. So, as I'm sure, all of you are scurrying around the last few days to have everything ready for the holiday. Please be kind and good to yourself. It is important to get enough sleep, and stay within your budget when it comes to spending. May God give us wisdom to know when to say no, is also something we need to excercise and get used to saying.. No Thank you. Be healthy, wise, and love one another.
