Attended a Christmas Memorial at the Funeral Home

Today, I and Deborah's father went to a memorial service held at the funeral home, to remember our loved ones. I have never attended one before. We were given a card to place on the large evergree tree. There was a huge crowd of people, and all of our loved ones names were read. We lit candles, and sang silent night. The Johnstons Heights Chamber Choir sang some beautiful pieces, and you could see that some of the youth were deeply moved, as they also likely lost loved ones too. We were reminded of how fortunate we are in the world, if we have food, can read, or even have a fridge, and food. We are a privileged people. The film above called 'The Train of Life" was shown
After the event, we were given a beautiful tree ornament that was hand made, a heart within a heart. Christmas tarts and cookies with refreshments allowed us to visit one another and hug those who we have come to know over the years. It turned out to be a wonderful event. Afterwards, we placed Deborah's reef, on the freshly washed gravestone.
