Moving in Day is fast approaching

Dear Readers, I have lately been void of technology because my daughter at her new home is not hooked up to the internet yet. I have been spending many hours 'supervising' the trades people who are making it all happen. I also lost my cell phone for several days. After, my husband searched for it high and low in every crevace of the house, I finally found it at my daughters house in the clothing luggage that I took over, incase I need warmer clothes etc. So finally in the afternoon hours, we discovered it. As you know it is not easy to be without a phone especially when you have chimney sweepers, painters, flooring personell all wanting to work on days close in proximity to each other. Yesterday, we had yet another glitch whereby the heat could not be turned on as the AAA batteries were expired in the wall thermostat. So here was the painter, and we were using tiny heaters all over to warm up the house. Thankfully, work is progressing nicely. The ceiling paint was applied yesterday. The carpets were ripped up earlier, and the kitchen laminate floor has also been sawed off the floor. So lo and behold we have an "open concept" upper living space. Washing doors, closets, peeling off wallpaper has taken up a lot of time, but the results were all worth it. I had a tumble and fall over the kitchen floor, and yes I did go flying. I can't recall a heavy thump like this before. I felt like the pillsbury dough boy, but the landing was not smooth. I fell right on top of my right side where my new hips are. It was a miracle of  God that I got off the floor and did not break my manufactured hip. Other than a few bruises by my bra strap, and areas that I can't see, I am feeling fine.  My daughter and son-in-law are back working, but moving date is soon approaching in less than a week.
God has been faithful in supplying us with new tenants. Despite the frost in the mornings, and yes... snow, we hope everyone can settle in safely into their new homes.
I just love the beautiful view that my daughter will have from her porch in the back yard. The landscapers will be coming later this week to cut back some of the 44 year old cedars, and get their yard in tip top shape. It is truly like living in the forest, a quiet neighborhood in Langley.
