Today I Went to Church after a long Time

I went to church with my husband. Two people noticed our long absence due to health challenges: The greeter, and Pastor Sam as we were heading out in the entrance lobby. These dear saints of God, genuinely missed us. It was like a breath of fresh air being there. The singer, along with many others gave their lives to Jesus. He sang, 'Because He Lives, I can face tomorrow". Perhaps this man may have sang all over the world, but never knew what he was REALLY singing about until today. Their names for the first time were written by Jesus into the Lamb's book of Life.
The message was delivered with such beauty, I will upload it to you soon, all about the Living God, the Ressurected Jesus. At the end of much more singing, there was yet another altar call for those who's family struggles with addiction. Again, many went forward. We must pray for those with mental illness and addictions, they struggle often alone. I missed my brothers and sisters in Christ.
After we came home, I made a 3 ft long roast beef sandwich with lettuce and cheese, I shared with my husband. Tonight we may go out for dinner. God with his tremendous grace and favour allowed us to be together 30 years today. The journey has been anything but easy, however, with God's help we were able to overcome many hardships, and today we still hold hands on occasion. Love changes with age, and somehow, we must get in grips with it.
