My Dinner a Game Changer

I think yesterday was a game changer. I made turkey dinner and invited two ladies over who had families far away, and felt they may enjoy the fellowship. My married daughter pointed out the following one thing which I already knew. My mashed potatoes were lumpy, the evidence was the blender idea of trying to puree it, which does not work by the way. (don't try it if your potatoes don't blend with a mixer). My brussel sprouts were over cooked. My gravy which I got help with needed too much cornstarch in my view to thicken. This was the first time gravy was served without me tasting it. Then to top it off, by the time I sliced up the non organic turkey it was likely cold. It was sliding off the cutting board unto my counter, since my board does not have the groves for the juices to collect. All around it was a big mess of monumental description. Cranberries were nowhere to be found so I attempted to doctor up the canned whole berry mixture with lemon juice and orange grind. Eventually, we tried to redeem the mashed potatoes by putting it in a pan with breadcrumbs on top, per a youtube video suggestion. Ohhhh, and my home made stuffing was too wet, since I did not remove the foil from it in the oven in time.
So, it is time to pass on the torch. I gladly do so. I have been so spoiled with the organic J.D. Turkey utility grade farm products that you can actually slice: that I forgot what a Young Turkey from the grocery store is like. My daughters contributed with dessert, and sparkling juice. I think my appetizer was a hit however, called Korozott a cream cheese/garlic, caraway seed spread on fresh french bread.
I think my mind may be scattering, but according to my daughter the meal was not what it usually is.Mutiple blue Hyacinths

The long Easter weekend finally brought sunshine for the day. I brought four new blossoms to put in our window basket. I brought  hyacinth flower, which is a game changer for the lovely scent it brought to our home. Once little bloom, and so much aroma. I hope that I am like that , bringing a wonderful pleasing fragrance to our Lord, despite our weakness.  The chatter was lively, including topics like can a man nurse a baby? I'll let you debate that at your tables. Being together with friends and family was the highlight of the day. Imagine, angels watching above to hear our chatter.

Heb 1:4  1 After God spoke long ago in various portions and in various ways to our ancestors through the prophets, 2 in these last days he has spoken to us in a son, whom he appointed heir of all things, and through whom he created the world. 3 The Son is the radiance of his glory and the representation of his essence, and he sustains all things by his powerful word, and so when he had accomplished cleansing for sins, he sat down at the right hand of the Majesty on high. 4 Thus he became so far better than the angels as he has inherited a name superior to theirs.
