It is the Midnight hour, "Behold the Bridegroom cometh - go out to meet Him!"
DO you not know that the Bridegroom is coming? Yet you don't care about what is happening in the world today?! Is you only drive towards God for Self Self Self...?
Today's religion - the worship for self and of self - to satisfy wants
and attain approval from men. This is the religion of many.
Then some do Watch and inform many so that they may wake up - so you ask: "WHY WATCH?"
Well - Yahushua said...
"Watch therefore, for you know neither the day nor the hour in which the Son of Man is coming."
"Now learn this parable from the fig tree: When its branch has already
become tender, and puts forth leaves, you know that summer is near. So you also, when you see these things happening, know that it is near--at the doors! Assuredly, I say to you, this generation will by no means pass away till all these things take place. Heaven and earth will pass away, but My words will by no means pass away. But of that day and hour no one knows, not even the angels in heaven, nor the Son, but only the Father. Take heed, WATCH and PRAY; for you do not know when the time is.
It is like a man going to a far country, who left his house and gave
authority to his servants, and to each his work, and commanded the
doorkeeper to Watch. Watch therefore, for you do not know when the
master of the house is coming--in the evening, at midnight, at the
crowing of the rooster, or in the morning-- LEST, COMING SUDDENLY, HE FIND YOU SLEEPING And what I say to you, I say to all: WATCH!..."
" ... "Nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom.
And there will be great earthquakes in various places, and famines and
pestilences; and there will be fearful sights and great signs from
heaven. But when you see Jerusalem surrounded by armies, then know that its desolation is near.
And they will fall by the edge of the sword, and be led away captive
into all nations. And Jerusalem will be trampled by Gentiles until the
times of the Gentiles are fulfilled. And there will be signs in the
sun, in the moon, and in the stars; and on the earth distress of
nations, with perplexity, the sea and the waves roaring; men's
hearts failing them from fear and the expectation of those things which
are coming on the earth, for the powers of heaven will be shaken. Then THEY will see the Son of Man coming in a cloud with power and great glory. Now when these things begin to happen, look up and lift up your heads, because your redemption draws near." Then He spoke to them a parable: "Look at the fig tree, and all the trees. When they are already budding, you see and know for yourselves that summer is now near. So you also, when you see these things happening, know that the kingdom of God is near. Assuredly, I say to you, this generation will by no means pass away till all things take place. Heaven and earth will pass away, but My words will by no means pass away.
But TAKE HEED to yourselves, lest your hearts be weighed down with
carousing, drunkenness, and cares of this life, and that Day come on you
unexpectedly. For it will come as a snare on all those who dwell on the face of the whole earth.
WATCH therefore, and PRAY always that you may be counted worthy to
escape all these things that will come to pass, and to stand before the
Son of Man.""
"Remember therefore how you have received and
heard; hold fast and repent. Therefore IF YOU WILL NOT WATCH, I will
come upon you as a thief, and you will not know what hour I will come
upon you."
"Behold, I am coming as a thief. BLESSED IS HE
WHO WATCHES, And Keeps his Garments, lest he walk naked and THEY see his
shame."
Matt 25:13, Mark 13:28-37, Luke 21:10-11,20,24-36, Rev 3:3, Rev 16:15.
Do not be wary of waiting for THE KING.
If you Watch and Pray, you will see Him coming: He shall not come to
you unexpectedly and you shall not be ashamed nor put to shame - you
shall escape the things that will come to pass, as HE has said.
REPENT AND BE CONVERTED TO CHRIST IN HOLINESS! THE KING IS COMING: JESUS IS COMING.
Farkhunda Malikzada[1] (Persian: فرخنده) was a 27-year-old Afghan woman who was lynched by a mob in Kabul on March 19, 2015.[2] She was murdered after allegedly arguing with a mullah who falsely accused her of burning the Quran, the holy book of Islam. Police investigations revealed that she had not burned anything.[3] Her death led to 49 arrests;[2]
three adult men received twenty year prison sentences, eight other
adult males received sixteen year sentences, a minor received a ten year
sentence, and eleven police officers received one year prison terms for
failing to protect Farkhunda.[4] Her murder and the subsequent protests served to draw attention to women's rights in Afghanistan.
Farkhunda was an observant Muslim who wore a veil (hijab). At the time of the attack, she had just finished a degree in religious studies and was preparing to take a teaching post.[5] Her name means "auspicious" and "jubilation".[6]
The attack
In a still frame from a video captured and widely disseminated on social media and in the news, a bloodied Farkhunda appears to plead with her attackers before she is knocked down.
Farkhunda had previously been arguing with a mullah named Zainuddin, in front of a mosque where she worked as a religious teacher,[3] about his practice of selling charms at the Shah-Do Shamshira Mosque, the Shrine of the King of Two Swords,[7] a religious shrine in Kabul.[8] During this argument, Zainuddin reportedly accused her of burning the Quran. She responded
"I am a Muslim, and Muslims do not burn the Quran!"[9]
According to eyewitnesses, hundreds of angry civilians flocked to the
mosque upon overhearing the mullah's accusation. They dragged out
Farkhunda and started to beat her.[5]
She was thrown from a roof, run over by a car, and beaten with sticks
and stones outside the mosque. The mob then set her body alight and
dumped it in the Kabul River while police allegedly looked on.[8][10] Farkhunda's parents said the killing was instigated by the mullah with whom Farkhunda had been talking, who, according to Tolo News, began loudly accusing her of burning the Quran "in order to save his job and life."[11] An eyewitness said that the mob was chanting anti-American and anti-democratic slogans while beating Farkhunda.[12]
Reactions
Public reaction in Afghanistan
A number of prominent public officials turned to Facebook immediately
after the death to endorse the murder. The official spokesman for the
Kabul police Hashmat Stanekzai, for instance, wrote that Farkhunda
“thought, like several other unbelievers, that this kind of action and
insult will get them U.S. or European citizenship. But before reaching
their target, they lost their life.” The Deputy Minister for Culture and
Information Simin Ghazal Hasanzada also approved the execution of a
woman “working for the infidels.” Zalmai Zabuli, chief of the complaints
commission of the upper house of parliament, posted a picture of
Farkhunda with this message: “This is the horrible and hated person who
was punished by our Muslim compatriots for her action. Thus, they proved
to her masters that Afghans want only Islam and cannot tolerate
imperialism, apostasy, and spies.” [13]
After it was revealed that she did not burn the Quran, the public reaction in Afghanistan
turned to shock and anger. Hundreds of protesters took to the streets
of Kabul on 23 March protesting her brutal death. Protesters marched
from where the attack began to where Farkhunda was thrown in the river. A
number of women on the march wore masks of her bloodied face while
others condemned the government for failing to bring security to
Afghanistan. Shukria Barakzai, a member of parliament representing Kabul Province and a longtime women’s rights activist, told Al Jazeera that her killing had triggered the city and the rest of the country to think about women's rights.[10]
She said: "This is not a male or female issue, this is a human issue
and we will not stop until the killers are brought to justice."[10]Roshan Siren,
a former member of parliament, said that the murder highlights violence
against women in the country, and has become a rallying point for a
younger generation of women to campaign for "the protection and progress
of women."[14]
The woman's father complained that police could have done more to save Farkhunda.[8]
Protests
On March 23, hundreds of women protested the attack, demanding that
the government prosecute those responsible for Farkhunda's death.[8] The protest was organized by Solidarity Party of Afghanistan and residents of Kabul.[15] Farkhunda's death has also become a rallying point for women's rights activists in Afghanistan.[16] On March 24, thousands of people protested the attack in front of the Afghan Ministry of Justice in Kabul.[17]
Official response in Afghanistan
Afghan presidentAshraf Ghani ordered an investigation into the incident and, in a statement released by his office, condemned the "act of extreme violence".[18] He described the killing as "heinous".[11]
He also said that Farkhunda's death revealed that Afghanistan's police
were too focused on the Taliban insurgency in the country and not
focused enough on local policing.[19]
Nine men who were seen in the video of Farkhunda's murder on social media were subsequently detained.[20]
The Interior Ministry later reported that 28 people were arrested and
13 police officers suspended as part of investigations. Hashmat
Stanikzai, a cleric who publicly endorsed the murder, was sacked over
comments that he made on social media supporting Farkhunda's killers.[5]
The Afghanistan Ministry of Hajj and Religious Affairs announced that it found no evidence that Farkhunda had burned the Quran.[11]
International reaction
The European Union
condemned the attack. A spokeswoman for European Union foreign policy
chief Federica Mogherini said in a statement that "[t]he killing of Ms
Farkhunda... is a tragic reminder of dangers women face from false
accusations and the lack of justice in Afghanistan." She added, "We all
hope that [those] responsible can be brought to justice."[5] The United States
also condemned the murder, with a statement from its embassy in Kabul
calling for "those responsible to be brought to justice so such heinous
acts will never occur again".[21] Global Times
China columnist Farman Nawaz wrote "Choosing rulers through the ballot
box is a positive sign for the country, but the survival, and even
growth, of extremist mentality even after suffering from the barbarism
of extremist groups reflects a critical failure by Afghan political
parties".[22]Afghan American historian Ali A Olomi
argued that Farkhunda's murder demonstrated the endurance of an
underlying culture of violence and devaluation of human life that comes
out of generations of Afghans being raised during a war and facing
oppression.[23]
Reaction from Islamic scholars
In Afghanistan
The day after the murder, certain imams and mullahs endorsed the
killing during Friday prayer services in their mosques. One of them, the
influential Maulavi Ayaz Niazi of the Wazir Akbar Khan mosque, warned
the government that any attempt to arrest the men who had defended the
Quran would lead to an uprising.[13][24]
After it was revealed she did not burn the Quran, senior Islamic scholars in Afghanistan expressed outrage over the incident. Ahmad Ali Jebreili, a member of Afghanistan's Ulama Council set for administering Islamic law, condemned the attack, accusing it of contravening Islam.[18]
Haji Noor Ahmad, a local cleric, said "People come and execute a person
arbitrarily; this is totally prohibited and unlawful. However, some
justified her killing and were met with public anger."[25]
Abroad
Abu Ammaar Yasir Qadhi, a prominent, conservative, Islamic scholar, expressed horror on his Facebook
page and said "A sign of how truly civilized a nation is, is how it
treats its women. May Allah restore the honor and respect that women
deserve in our societies!"[26]
Yama Rasaw of the International Policy Digest blamed intolerance among Afghans and Muslims for the killing of Farkhunda.[27]
Funeral
On March 22, a number of women, dressed in black, carried Farkhunda's
coffin from an ambulance to a prayer ground and then to a graveyard.
This was a marked departure from tradition, which holds that such
funerals are typically only attended by men.[12]
Criminal cases
Of 49 suspects tried in the case, four men were sentenced to death
for their roles in Farkhunda's murder. The sentences were handed down by
Judge Safiullah Mojadedi in Kabul on May 5, 2015. Eight other
defendants were sentenced to 16 years in prison. The trial was noted for
its unusual brevity, lasting just two days.[28]
The verdict has been criticized because although some investigators
believe a fortuneteller set the attacks on Farkhunda in motion, this
person was found not guilty on appeal, and the shrine's custodian had
his death sentence commuted despite the fact that he originated the
false charge that Farkhunda had burned the Koran.[29]
Three suspects in the murder were still at large at the time of the May 5 sentencing, according to Mojadedi.[30]
On May 19, eleven police officers were sentenced to one year in prison for failing to protect Farkhunda.[31]
On 2 July 2015, an appeals court overturned the death sentences for
those convicted in the mob killing. Three of those had their sentences
reduced to 20 years in jail, while the fourth was re-sentenced to 10
years prompting street protests and a debate on women's rights.[32]
As of August 12, 2015 an examination of the outcome of the
proceedings in the matter by a panel of lawyers appointed by
Afghanistan’s president resulted in a planned recommendation to the
Afghan Supreme Court that those accused in her death be retried.[33]
Happy New Years my dear readers. I greet you all over our wonderful world. May you have peace and blessings in the coming year. Our journey is not an easy one, but one day we will reach that glorious City, a Celestial City that is not movable. The sun was shining where we live today, but the nights are chili. We keep covering our dear Tiger on my porch, the mother cat of Deborah's cat, Moonshine, with wool blankets, and she has become more furry than before.. She truly looks like a Tiger.
I am on pain medication as my hip hurt more than it did in the tropical land of Florida. Apparently, the specialist referral is in, but I have no idea how long I must wait for the surgery. I was told to bombard myself with calcium/magnesium pills as well as vitamin D, however, too much of the calcium, may cause kidney stones, I've been told, so I have to be careful. Ideally, if the Lord heals me would be the best way.. I have been home bound and somewhat miserable. Non activity is a bad thing. I'm thankful, I am not traveling. Our faithful, dear friends have had us over for dinner. Such generosity. We've had candy jars too where we had to guess the number of candies.. The winner got gift cards to Subway, Winners or MacDonalds. I had some wine, and steak with my dear family. It was nice to not have to worry about cooking. After much laughter and sharing, we all came home. Seeing Deborah's obituary photo, framed in their house always humbles, me. How even family friends can honor my daughter in their quiet way. Deborah.. I know you are Asleep, and I can't wait to be reunited with you. I am sick with Love for you. My life will never be the same. As we try to suppress our emotions, we know you shine in the firmaments, and are in the presence of our dear Lord.
This coming Wednesday, is the day in the Creator's Calendar that Haggai talks about.. Maybe we too will have a shaking on our planet.. Please read in full.
Haggai 2New International Version (NIV)
2 1 on the twenty-first day of the seventh month, the word of the Lord came through the prophet Haggai:2 “Speak to Zerubbabel son of Shealtiel, governor of Judah, to Joshua son of Jozadak,[a] the high priest, and to the remnant of the people. Ask them,3 ‘Who of you is left who saw this house in its former glory? How does it look to you now? Does it not seem to you like nothing?4 But now be strong, Zerubbabel,’ declares the Lord. ‘Be strong, Joshua son of Jozadak, the high priest. Be strong, all you people of the land,’ declares the Lord, ‘and work. For I am with you,’ declares the Lord Almighty.5 ‘This is what I covenanted with you when you came out of Egypt. And my Spirit remains among you. Do not fear.’ 6 “This is what the Lord Almighty says: ‘In a little while I will once more shake the heavens and the earth, the sea and the dry land.7 I will shake all nations, and what is desired by all nations will come, and I will fill this house with glory,’ says the Lord Almighty.8 ‘The silver is mine and the gold is mine,’ declares the Lord Almighty.9 ‘The glory of this present house will be greater than the glory of the former house,’ says the Lord Almighty. ‘And in this place I will grant peace,’ declares the Lord Almighty.”
Blessings for a Defiled People
10 On the twenty-fourth day of the ninth month, in the second year of Darius, the word of the Lord came to the prophet Haggai:11 “This is what the Lord Almighty says: ‘Ask the priests what the law says:12 If someone carries consecrated meat
in the fold of their garment, and that fold touches some bread or stew,
some wine, olive oil or other food, does it become consecrated?’” The priests answered, “No.” 13 Then Haggai said, “If a person defiled by contact with a dead body touches one of these things, does it become defiled?” “Yes,” the priests replied, “it becomes defiled.” 14 Then Haggai said, “‘So it is with this people and this nation in my sight,’ declares the Lord. ‘Whatever they do and whatever they offer there is defiled. 15 “‘Now give careful thought to this from this day on[b]—consider how things were before one stone was laid on another in the Lord’s temple.16 When anyone came to a heap of twenty measures, there were only ten. When anyone went to a wine vat to draw fifty measures, there were only twenty.17 I struck all the work of your hands with blight, mildew and hail, yet you did not return to me,’ declares the Lord.18 ‘From this day on, from this twenty-fourth day of the ninth month, give careful thought to the day when the foundation of the Lord’s temple was laid. Give careful thought:19 Is there yet any seed left in the barn? Until now, the vine and the fig tree, the pomegranate and the olive tree have not borne fruit. “‘From this day on I will bless you.’”
Zerubbabel the Lord’s Signet Ring
20 The word of the Lord came to Haggai a second time on the twenty-fourth day of the month:21 “Tell Zerubbabel governor of Judah that I am going to shake the heavens and the earth.22 I will overturn royal thrones and shatter the power of the foreign kingdoms. I will overthrow chariots and their drivers; horses and their riders will fall, each by the sword of his brother. 23 “‘On that day,’ declares the Lord Almighty, ‘I will take you, my servant Zerubbabel son of Shealtiel,’ declares the Lord, ‘and I will make you like my signet ring, for I have chosen you,’ declares the Lord Almighty.”
I was woken aroud the midnight hours of Tuesday, Dec 30th, 2015 to our bed shaking. Instantly, my two girls who were watching movies, realized that this was an earthquake that they were experiencing. This was something that happened off the coast of Victoria Island, and people even felt it in Seattle, our Canadian cities like Aldergrove, Coquitlam, Surrey among others here in Vancouver. The last time I felt an earthquake here was in 1990 ish, while strolling along in Metrotown with our young children.

VANCOUVER (NEWS 1130) – An earthquake has hit BC and
Natural Resources Canada says it measured 4.3 striking at 11:39 p.m. The
US Geological Survey, however, says it measured 4.8 and was centred
about 20 kilometres north of Victoria.
The Canadian agency says there are no reports of damage and adds none would be expected.
The City of Vancouver has tweeted that there are “no known reports of significant earthquake damage.”
Chuck lives in Sidney and called our newsroom after the earthquake.
“I was sitting on my computer and I thought that the people upstairs
were moving furniture. Then, all of a sudden, it was a big rumble.. Born
and raised here, and it’s the first time in my life — at 41 years old —
I’ve ever felt an earthquake here.”
“I was in bed. It was like I was on a bowl of jelly — everything rattled and shook,” says Louella, who called NEWS 1130 from Abbotsford.
“It felt like a truck hitting the house, at first. I thought a train maybe derailed,” says a caller from Coquitlam.
“This is about the third earthquake I’ve felt since I’ve been here in
BC and this was every bit as bad as one that did do damage,
previously,” she tells us.
“The whole building shook. I’ve never felt it like that in Vancouver
before. I used to live in San Francisco. This was a pretty solid jolt,”
says a woman who lives in the Coal Harbour area of Vancouver.
“It felt like somebody dropped a heavy weight or something on the
floor above. I was just sitting here, reading a book and I definitely
felt it. It was quite a shake,” says a caller from Burnaby.
Marilyn called our newsroom, after feeling the earthquake all the way
out in Chilliwack. “I was standing by my china cabinet and I felt like
it was going to fall over. I put my hand out to steady it, just in case…
I had some vases up at the top — they were rattling up there.”
“I spent a lot of time in Japan… I can honestly say… I’ve never felt
as strong an earthquake. It was strong. My whole house basically shook
for about 10 seconds,” says David in Burnaby.
In what a new Ministry of Defense (MoD) report
circulating in the Kremlin today is describing as President Barack
Obama’s “worst nightmare”, the Ministry of National Defense (MoND) of
the People’s Republic of China has secured the permission of the Syria
Arab Republic to begin “flooding” into the Levant War Zone up to 5,000
of its most elite military forces, and which will first include the
feared Shenyang Military Region “Siberian Tiger” Special Forces and
Lanzhou Military Region “Night Tiger” Special Forces Units.
According to this MoD report, this extraordinary move by China to
enter into this war was authorized by China’s National People’s Congress
(NPC) yesterday by their passing that country’s first anti-terrorism
law making it legal for the People’s Liberation Army to take part in
counter-terrorism missions abroad—and which fulfils the 30 November vow
made to President Putin by Chinese President Xi Jinping that his nation
would work to take on a broader role in the international war against
terrorism and that China would be at Russia’s disposal to aid in global
anti-terror efforts.
Most critical to China in entering this war, this report continues,
is the “grave” national security threat it faces from both the Islamic
State (ISIS/ISIL/Daesh) and Turkey’s National Intelligence Organization
(MIT)—and as, perhaps, best described by the noted award winning
American military-intelligence journalist Seymour M. Hersh who in his
latest article warned of this threat by stating:
“China, an ally of [Syrian leader] Assad has committed more than $30
billion to postwar reconstruction in Syria. China, too, is worried about
the Islamic State. China regards the Syrian crisis from three
perspectives: international law and legitimacy; global strategic
positioning; and the activities of jihadist Uighurs, from Xinjiang
province in China’s far west.
Xinjiang borders eight nations – Mongolia, Russia, Kazakhstan,
Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Afghanistan, Pakistan and India – and, in
China’s view, serves as a funnel for terrorism around the world and
within China.
Many Uighur fighters now in Syria are known to be members of the East
Turkestan Islamic Movement—an often violent separatist organization
that seeks to establish an Islamist Uighur state in Xinjiang.
The fact that they have been aided by Turkish intelligence to move
from China into Syria through Turkey has caused a tremendous amount of
tension between the Chinese and Turkish intelligence and China is
concerned that the Turkish role of supporting the Uighur fighters in
Syria may be extended in the future to support Turkey’s agenda in
Xinjiang.”
Though the US corporate-propaganda media continues to blackball from
the American people Hersh’s “bombshell” article, this report notes, 2015
has become the year Russia exposed the barbaric nature of Western
powers—from their criminal conspiracy for regime change in Syria, to
aggression against Yemen, Iran, Russia, China and any country that does
not toe the line—and has, also, exposed for the entire world to see that
the Obama regimes fight against the Islamic State has all been
pretended.
And with the Obama regime reported to be scrambling to come up with
new lies to tell the American people about this war, this report says,
only one person in that government, US Congresswoman Tulsi Gabbard, just
weeks ago warned the American public that not only is the Obama regime
lying to them, they may end up inadvertently starting World War III.
Echoing Congresswoman Gabbard’s fears, this report further notes, is
billionaire investor George Soros, who warned the Obama regime this past
summer that China might use the Levant War to mask its mounting
economic problems and stated “should the external conflict escalate into
a military confrontation with an ally of the United States such as
Turkey or Japan, it is not an exaggeration to say that we would be on
the threshold of a third world war.”
As to why the Obama regime is still protecting the
terrorist-supporting nation of Turkey and daily sending in more NATO
forces to defend risking world war, this report notes, is beyond
insanity—especially when viewed of the light of Turkish leader Erdogan
refusing President Obama’s order to remove Turkish troops who illegally
invaded Iraq, and, just yesterday, Turkish intelligence services
assassinating another journalist, Naji Jerf, editor-in-chief of the
Hentah monthly, for exposing Erdogan’s support of Islamic State
terrorists.
So as President Putin’s special envoy, Alexander Lavrentyev,
continues today visiting and informing various Middle East nations of
Russia’s new alliance with China against Turkey and the Islamic State,
this report concludes, it is, also, preparing for the worst—and which is
why the Western Military District, equipped with Iskander-M tactical
ballistic missile systems, was put on alert just hours ago.
For the director of music. With stringed instruments. A maskil[b] of David.
1 Listen to my prayer, O God, do not ignore my plea; 2 hear me and answer me. My thoughts trouble me and I am distraught 3 because of what my enemy is saying, because of the threats of the wicked; for they bring down suffering on me and assail me in their anger.
4 My heart is in anguish within me; the terrors of death have fallen on me. 5 Fear and trembling have beset me; horror has overwhelmed me.
The above expert is a section Deborah underlined in her bible. There is countless places where her thoughts are highlighted in the pages of this Book. Another part of the same chapter she highlighted is,"Hear my prayer, O God; listen to the words of my mouth. Strangers are attacking me, ruthless men seek my life- men without regard for God."
"This message came to me concerning Damascus: 'Look,
Damascus will disappear! It will become a heap of ruins. The cities of Aroer
will be deserted. Sheep will graze in the streets and lie down unafraid.
There will be no one to chase them away. The fortified cities of Israel will
also be destroyed, and the power of Damascus will end. The few left in Aram
will share the fate of Israel's departed glory,' says the Lord Almighty"
(Isaiah 17:1-3, NLT).

(CNN)Chicago
police -- under intense scrutiny in recent months over officer-involved
shootings -- were involved in another on Saturday morning, an incident
that left two people dead, police said.
The
latest officer-involved shooting happened around 4:30 a.m. (5:30 a.m.
ET) Saturday near West Garfield Park, Chicago police spokeswoman Ana
Pacheco said.
In a later press release, police explained that officers had gone to the location for "a domestic disturbance."
"Upon
arrival, officers were confronted by a combative subject resulting in
the discharging of the officer's weapon, fatally wounding two
individuals," the police said.
The department did not identify those killed, including what (if anything) they had to do with the reported disturbance.
But
a Chicago fire dispatcher reported that a 19-year-old man and
56-year-old woman were transported from the area after the shooting.
"I went to the hospital; my son has seven bullet wounds in him," Cooksey said. "And that's too much."
Cooksey added that her son had been in college studying engineering.
Follows protests against Chicago police
The shooting came two days after protests against Chicago police officers' actions
-- including the killing of black teenager Laquan McDonald -- shut down
parts of the so-called Magnificent Mile, a well-known high-end shopping
district in the city.
"Sixteen shots and a cover-up!" the Christmas Eve protesters chanted.
Homicides overall, not just
officer-involved shootings, have been a major issue in Chicago, dealing
with more homicides the past few years than even New York and Los
Angeles, two more populous cities.
"We
will be a better city for it," Emanuel said. "It is in our
self-interest, because we need [federal] assistance to make the
fundamental and necessary changes."
"Again,
the kingdom of heaven is like treasure hidden in a field, which a man
found and hid; and for joy over it he goes and sells all that he has and
buys that field."
"When He had called the people to Himself,
with His disciples also, He said to them, "Whoever desires to come after
Me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow Me. For whoever desires to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for My sake and the gospel's will save it.
For what will it profit a man if he gains the whole world, and loses his own soul? Or what will a man give in exchange for his soul?
For whoever is ashamed of Me and My words in this adulterous and sinful
generation, of him the Son of Man also will be ashamed when He comes in
the glory of His Father with the holy angels.""
" But what things were gain to me, these I have counted loss for Christ.
Yet indeed I also count all things loss for the excellence of the
knowledge of Christ Jesus my Lord, for whom I have suffered the loss of
all things, and count them as rubbish, that I may gain Christ."
"Again, the kingdom of heaven is like a merchant seeking beautiful pearls, who, when he had found one pearl of great price, went and sold all that he had and bought it. "
Matt 13:44, Mark 8:34-38, Phil 3:7-8, Matt 13:45-46.
It is after we die here... or whenever we cross from here to the other side That we truly see and realize that nothing else matters in this life but doing the Will of YAHUWAH ELOHIM ADONAI EL ELYON.
But for many, it will be too late.
Everything you see in this world is DUNG when compared to the
excellency of Christ Jesus and Eternal Life in the presence of GOD.
Nothing here is worth sinning for: telling a lie for a million dollars
is not worth it! Satan can give you the world - to destroy your soul.
If you want Eternal Life, FOLLOW GOD'S WORD AND DEPART FROM SIN.
Make that change NOW! Otherwise it might be too late for you to deprive
the devils of seeing you with them, in everlasting destruction in the
Furnance that quenches not. That is their only desire - for you to
perish eternally.
Be wise NOW! Sell all that you have to gain the kingdom of heaven!! That is wisdom.
REPENT AND BE CONVERTED TO CHRIST IN HOLINESS! THE KING IS COMING: JESUS IS COMING.
I'm still adjusting to the time change. I am up way too early and find myself sleepy by the afternoon. Today is the 24th. We did a little shopping this morning for groceries, as some coupons were about to expire. We tracked through some big warehouse stores early in the morning, looking for a small fridge for one of my daughters. Most of the sales won't be till boxing day, so we quickly exited most places. I do have a boxing day birthday to celebrate as well, in our home. Things will be very simple this year. No amount of material stuff will compensate for the loss of my dear Deborah. I will muster the strength to go to candle light service with my family tonight, but that is it. Normally, we would have a lovely gathering afterwards at a friends house. Everyone bringing a meal; but not anymore. Each one of us in this home are dealing with their own sorrows, and issues. Mental health is rampant, nobody is "Normal". Emotional distress is worse than physical pain. A co-worker once said, everybody is normal, until you get to know them. It is difficult to enjoy life in this crippled state that we are all in. I can't say if the youth, or the elderly suffer more from mental health problems. I just know, it is not a place to be, not a place to sit, not a place to linger in. One must help the other get out of it as quickly as possible. I don't want to become an expert on this, not even close. However, all nursing students have to do a long series of studies, and hands on at the psyche ward. I wish there was a pill, or something, to make this pain, all go away. One friend suggested that I start typing to prayer groups, for healing. Short and simple let the prayer request be known. Spread the news, that someone needs prayer. Results are usually soon forthcoming. Ultimately, it is the clinging to our Higher Power, moment by moment, day by day. Seeking deliverance and refuge in Him who knows us better than ourselves. Going about the traditions now, that are neither good or bad. Phoning people, wishing them a Merry Christmas, going to Candle light service, exchanging presents. All these gestures are only that.. No more seeking of miracles, no more of hoping for something dear, and better. Just carrying on carrying on. No sparkles in our eyes of anticipation, and glee. I'm waiting for this all to be over.
2 In those days Caesar Augustus issued a decree that a census should be taken of the entire Roman world.2 (This was the first census that took place while[a] Quirinius was governor of Syria.)3 And everyone went to their own town to register.
4 So Joseph also went up from the town of Nazareth in Galilee to Judea, to Bethlehem the town of David, because he belonged to the house and line of David.5 He went there to register with Mary, who was pledged to be married to him and was expecting a child.6 While they were there, the time came for the baby to be born,7 and
she gave birth to her firstborn, a son. She wrapped him in cloths and
placed him in a manger, because there was no guest room available for
them. 8 And there were shepherds living out in the fields nearby, keeping watch over their flocks at night.9 An angel of the Lord appeared to them, and the glory of the Lord shone around them, and they were terrified.10 But the angel said to them, “Do not be afraid. I bring you good news that will cause great joy for all the people.11 Today in the town of David a Savior has been born to you; he is the Messiah, the Lord.12 This will be a sign to you: You will find a baby wrapped in cloths and lying in a manger.” 13 Suddenly a great company of the heavenly host appeared with the angel, praising God and saying,
14 “Glory to God in the highest heaven, and on earth peace to those on whom his favor rests.”
15 When
the angels had left them and gone into heaven, the shepherds said to
one another, “Let’s go to Bethlehem and see this thing that has
happened, which the Lord has told us about.”
16 So they hurried off and found Mary and Joseph, and the baby, who was lying in the manger.17 When they had seen him, they spread the word concerning what had been told them about this child,18 and all who heard it were amazed at what the shepherds said to them.19 But Mary treasured up all these things and pondered them in her heart.20 The shepherds returned, glorifying and praising God for all the things they had heard and seen, which were just as they had been told. 21 On the eighth day, when it was time to circumcise the child, he was named Jesus, the name the angel had given him before he was conceived.
Jesus Presented in the Temple
22 When the time came for the purification rites required by the Law of Moses, Joseph and Mary took him to Jerusalem to present him to the Lord23 (as it is written in the Law of the Lord, “Every firstborn male is to be consecrated to the Lord”[b]),24 and to offer a sacrifice in keeping with what is said in the Law of the Lord: “a pair of doves or two young pigeons.”[c] 25 Now there was a man in Jerusalem called Simeon, who was righteous and devout. He was waiting for the consolation of Israel, and the Holy Spirit was on him.26 It had been revealed to him by the Holy Spirit that he would not die before he had seen the Lord’s Messiah.27 Moved
by the Spirit, he went into the temple courts. When the parents brought
in the child Jesus to do for him what the custom of the Law required,28 Simeon took him in his arms and praised God, saying:
29 “Sovereign Lord, as you have promised, you may now dismiss[d] your servant in peace. 30 For my eyes have seen your salvation, 31 which you have prepared in the sight of all nations: 32 a light for revelation to the Gentiles, and the glory of your people Israel.”
33 The child’s father and mother marveled at what was said about him.34 Then Simeon blessed them and said to Mary, his mother: “This child is destined to cause the falling and rising of many in Israel, and to be a sign that will be spoken against,35 so that the thoughts of many hearts will be revealed. And a sword will pierce your own soul too.”
36 There was also a prophet,
Anna, the daughter of Penuel, of the tribe of Asher. She was very old;
she had lived with her husband seven years after her marriage,37 and then was a widow until she was eighty-four.[e] She never left the temple but worshiped night and day, fasting and praying.38 Coming
up to them at that very moment, she gave thanks to God and spoke about
the child to all who were looking forward to the redemption of
Jerusalem. 39 When
Joseph and Mary had done everything required by the Law of the Lord,
they returned to Galilee to their own town of Nazareth.40 And the child grew and became strong; he was filled with wisdom, and the grace of God was on him.
The Boy Jesus at the Temple
41 Every year Jesus’ parents went to Jerusalem for the Festival of the Passover.42 When he was twelve years old, they went up to the festival, according to the custom.43 After
the festival was over, while his parents were returning home, the boy
Jesus stayed behind in Jerusalem, but they were unaware of it.44 Thinking he was in their company, they traveled on for a day. Then they began looking for him among their relatives and friends.45 When they did not find him, they went back to Jerusalem to look for him.46 After three days they found him in the temple courts, sitting among the teachers, listening to them and asking them questions.47 Everyone who heard him was amazed at his understanding and his answers.48 When his parents saw him, they were astonished. His mother said to him, “Son, why have you treated us like this? Your father and I have been anxiously searching for you.” 49 “Why were you searching for me?” he asked. “Didn’t you know I had to be in my Father’s house?”[f]50 But they did not understand what he was saying to them. 51 Then he went down to Nazareth with them and was obedient to them. But his mother treasured all these things in her heart.52 And Jesus grew in wisdom and stature, and in favor with God and man.
I posted this a day ago and look at the views already. I also wanted to share this in case you didn't already know. All world leaders are antichrists. The pope is the man of sin (false prophet), Obama is the son of perdition, and Prince William is the beast that they give their power to.
I'm back, in my home, the comfort of my city, Surrey, and the country of Beautiful Canada. I spent a short 11 days in the USA, Florida, with my aged mother, who lives alone. She has been in and out of hospitals, and rehabilitation centers for about a month, and told me that if I don't come down she will die. So I went. I found her shrivelled, small, somewhat lost in her memories. She walks with a walker, one of which runs away on her. She lost some weight, I'm told. I went with the sole purpose of bringing her back to Canada with us, to be embraced and cared for by our family. She is also a Canadian citizen, so it would have been relatively easy to put her back on the medical system here after a few months.
She is insulin dependent for her diabetes, two shots, one in the morning and one a longer lasting shot in the evening, that she has self administered for years. I think the lack of energy and zeal for meal preperation has gotten the situation worse, as she would only drink milk for her meals. Driving has also been treacherous for her, and those on the street. My sister has given up on visiting her, for reasons only she can tell. All I heard from my daughter was that elder neglect and abuse are huge in our society. I wanted to honor mom by bringing her here, and helping her.
I learned so much in these few days that I'm sure I will still assimilate in the weeks and months to come. As she lives in the home alone, with the exception of a tenant who works three jobs, has left mom with few people to talk with. The tenant from Turkey would only come home around 3 am especially since the Star Wars movies have opened in the cinemas. He mixes drinks in the bar there, and once home, sleeps till noon, and begins his multiple jobs all over again. Mom had little social interaction, but the sheer fact that she was not alone at nights gave her comfort. She was overwhelmed by my questions, and chatter. She was not used to that. She relied on this absent man much, to take her out for an odd dinner, or pick her up from the hospital, once she has pressed her medical emergency button when she felt ill. There is an odd connection for this stranger in her home. Her toilet runs, all the time, and she is accustomed to turning off the knob. Water is a costly commodity in Florida. She has not made a call to the plumber to get it fixed. Thankfully, she has a walk in shower, a real plus for old age. Even now, I know of an elderly couple here who are putting in an elevator in their three storey home. to make their home wheelchair accessible.. what a plus.. for our aging population.
I cooked her meals, did much laundry, and cleaning and went to the doctors with her, she was even admitted for a day to the hospital with low blood sugar. At the time, I did not know what she was experiencing. On our way home from my sisters place, all of a sudden she did not remember where she lived and could not tell me the way back to her house. When I eventually did figure out how to find her house via a landmark of a tall church steeple, we put some medicine under the tongue, so she would not have a heart attack. Her symptoms were similar to that of someone having a stroke. So we took her to emergency. Once she was discharged we went to look at assisted living places, as she indicated she would like to stay in Florida. A few were nice, but incredibly expensive. For the time being, we have hired in home help, while the physiotherapists, occupational therapists, and nurses provide care in her home. One of her many diagnosis is brain stem stroke syndrome. A long term solution will have to be found for her. She asked me, if in case her care is not adequate there, if she can come to be with us, and I reassured her of course, that I will come and get her. It is a great honor to look after our parents. No matter what they did wrong, or how many mistakes they may have made, it is a connection with your roots that is unbreakable. May God heal her, and strengthen her body, mind and spirit.
