The Challenge To Us

Daniel 7:25 He shall speak words against the Most High, and shall wear out the saints of the Most High, and shall think to change the times and the law; and they shall be given into his hand for a time, times, and half a time.(This is what the Anti-Christ will do in our times, through friends, family and acquaintances)

My artificial hips are hurting today. The lovely weather, and breeze coming in from my window does nothing to comfort me. I am taking my new heart medications that have water removal qualities, ha ha. Yesterday, I was perspiring like a horse in the garden. My arm still hurts from the tetanus shot the other day.  Yet, with all our weaknesses, we are to continue in the work of the Lord, until we can work no more. It is Sunday, the day after the funeral. There must have been at least 1000 people there, twice as many as came to my daughter's funeral, where Arne spoke of her life being so short. Arne Bryan, a man of God, always praying for people, governments, prosperity. He would show up at a pastors house at 6 am twice a week, and then on a Monday evening was full out prayer night.  He knew God answered prayer. The speakers all had many stories to share. One wall plaque in his room said, you have earned the right to my opinion.. ha ha. Some said he tortured people with the gospel. He would not stop talking, and nothing would intimidate him. What a salesman for God! I recognized piano players who would play from Chilliwack whenever there was a Prayer Canada Breakfast at Peoples Church. I recognized the singer who would often sing. The song yesterday was called Ordinary people-how God uses ordinary people. It was beautiful. The pastor spoke, then another pastor, then his grandson, then a friend who knew him well over 35 years. Everyone who knew him, met him when he was already old. He was in his 99th year. We were told that we are called to carry the baton farther. Arne's new ministry that he just started was made known to the listeners. His work goes on. He founded prayer Canada in his mid 50's a visionary for sure. He wrote beautiful letters and cards to people. He would call you on the phone to pray with you and remind you of an upcoming event that he hoped you would attend. Pastor Eppinga was also there with his brain surgeon son, who talked of Arne's support of First Nations. I recall going to a tent meeting in Cloverdale, organized by Arne less then 10 years ago.
The fellowship after the service was wonderful. Long line ups to the tables filled with Cosco ordered crescents, dessert and beverages. Platters of meat sandwiches, cheese, pickles, and fruit adorned the tables. Sign in books, with quotation cards were made available.
To God be all the Glory for the Great things He has done!
